Is Sweden the most boring nation on Earth?

I have been to a lot of countries. But Sweden must be the most boring place EVER! No one smiled, not a single person. And the nightlife was nonexistant. The bars had bouncers! Can you believe that?

Depends on what u want to do. the nighlife sucks big time, people binge drink, they cannot dance, and people only make contact if they inted to have sex -> if anyone talks to you or approaches you they are trying to get laid and if you respond they presume they're gonna get some.

The men starting a conversation with men - same thing! After a while they WILL start groping you under the table. I am too groused out to even go out in Stockholm any more. Ever. Period.

But the country is not boring, it's just the people who are grouse. If you come with a few friends, there is lot of nature ad great opportunities for bike rides or hiking trips, up north you can do cross country skiing and ice skating in the winter. There is plenty to do, just as long as you are not counting on doing it with the locals.

The club and dance scene sucks big time. It's the greatest hits of the 80's and 90's over and over and over...

Well, I have not had the pleasure of visiting Sweden, but I much doubt I would find it boring! The country has such a rich heritage.

And what is wrong with bouncers in bars? Isn't that where they are supposed to be? Even in the Old West of America, there were bar bouncers.(Sometimes called swinging guns). It is a fact of life that bouncers are needed to equalize some situations when people drink too much, right?

The Swedish heritage is a myth, mostly kept alive by aggressive Swedish self-promotion. Swedes are suckers for external approval. They erroneously think that to way to impress the grander nations they admire so profoundly is to copy what they do, to show the swedes can do that, too, with
everything the original has. Except the originality, of course.

I lost the count of times the swedes have proudly told me that they consider themselves more Americans than the Americans. Here's something to think of, my Swedish friends -- Others will respect you if and only if you learn to be proud of what you are, however low you may think it be. And they WILL disdain you for as long as you stick to the crappy imitations of what you think being an American is after seeing every episode of Friends five times, to make you seem more worthy.

North Sweden sucks, mozzies in summer when it eventually happens....people are sour faced or don't smile....rude and odd. Everything is controlled like a robot....people, system and government. Nothing to do.....so boring for kids....so when they grow up...they binge drink and drive like idiots screetching their tyres once the snow melts in May!!!....if you want to live here it's fine if you enjoy nature and walks etc...low crime and robotic people who never complain.

The night life is horrible, the people are brain dead, and the women are outright ugly BLEACHED BLONDES with no bodies (flat asses, and yes short). Sweden is a joke. New York blows this city out the water. If come to Sweden for the free education then thats all you should stay for.

I think you ungrateful foreigners don't realise you are talking to people living in a real democracy, what I think about you matters. You have no rights to be in my country, you are here because I allow you to be here. Swedish taxpayers have had enough of financing violent crime, gangrapes and ethnic mafias in sweden. The swedish democrats (SD) will get somewhere between 10-20% in the next election, a good beginning of swedes taking sweden back and turning it to the beautiful, peaceful, neutral and homogenous country it used to be.

And just to settle something once and for all. America is not and have never been a democracy. It's officially a republic but in reality an oligarchy with members of two country clubs competing for campaign contributions from their oligarch masters.

At the moment america is run by Goldman Sachs and some other wall street elements but I guess that is a step up from Bush and his masters in big oil and weapon manufacturing companys.
