I am a coolie too, second generation born from two Indian Nationals during the darkest days of 2 rogue states destruction of beautiful British Guiana. The rogue states are Great Britain and USA.
One a visit to Parimaribo via Nickerie and the Atlantic I was suprised to hear coolies speaking hindi and dutch. I was amazed with the good roads and crime-free city, not like Burnham's City, choke-and-rob Georgetown. |

Forgot to mention that I was in India too.Landed in Bombay and overnight at Centuar. Next day took Indian Airline for Madras although my grandfather came Uttar Pradesh (nothern state). Was shipped to British Guiana in 1916 at the age of 20.
