Blah blah blah, all this bickering. Who the f cares who is who, if you Hmong, Lao, Thai, Chinese. This is why the world is so messed up nowadays. DNA tests show we all have one common ancestor. In other words, we were from the same group of peoples at one time or another. You can still link common vocab, cultural practices, common looks, etc. Ya'll need to grow up cuz it's this type of mentality is what will keep us as a species from ever advancing beyond our current state. You all insist on trying to point out how different you are from each other, how bout insisting the similarities. Make a list, the similarities far exceed the differences.

General Vang Pao is truly Hmong Former Chief and leader of our time. Without General Vang Pao supporting United States in the past Hmong will have no name as Hmong, but to call ourselves as "Meo" of Laos, and the way Lao people understand Hmong we are just wild cat because the mountains belong to the Hmong and the low land belong to the Lao people that is why nobody can attacking Lao major cities. It is meant that any super nation on earth want to attack Laos must go through Lao and Hmong before they can win their war against Lao nation. These two human beings are living peace together for century as my dad told me. But the only thing can tear us apart because the French Indochina and the American War to cut Vietnam in half. That was why Laos has to be the county to struggle to fight or die.

However, the Hmong people have enough blood to defend Lao Kingdom for Lao King to enjoy their freedom for 15yre, and to serve for super power for 15yrs that is enough for our grand father and son to experience the world to pay the way for our new generation to come to America and other countries around the globe., so we are proud to be Hmong and we Thank the American people to bring us here to the United States.

This is just my opinion to say about my feeling toward Laos. The true opinion is that I say and you decide for yourself in the freedom and love that we are enjoying today.

We, as Hmong people, should band together and not fight so much among ourselves. What are we trying to accomplish by fighting our own kind. Yeah, maybe, Gen. Vang Pao didn't do as much as we want him to do for our people, but we should understand our people already. Elders are stubborn and stick to what they believe they know best... We, as the young Hmongs of America, need to reach out to each other and stop fighting among ourselves... How are we suppose to help out those in need back there when we fight among ourselves,,,, This is a call out to all you peep who talk about this and that but never do anything about it... I'm all for getting our people out.... but I, like many, are just talking and no action... We need help among ourselves....

We're now in this so-called free country and forget who we are. Your family have high education, mine have money, we're all claimed to be smart but deep down inside there are big holes in our hearts. Everybody struggles to survive, try to get as much money in his own pocket and have no regards for others. This will continue until one day... something or soneone will make us realize what being Hmong is all about and what the name HMOOB means, then... only then we'll come together and form a force regardless of family/clan. The older generations are slowly fading away and now it's up to us the youngs to take over and who... who will have the dream, the will, the know how to lead our Hmoob nation to the future? Someone told me that we don't need leader but I say to you and everybody, we need leader/leaders who will be willing to sacrifice oneself to serve the whole nation.

What you said is so true but I believe that this will have to happen until it gets better. With all the turmoils there will emerge a new Hmong society, so don't give up just yet.

We Hmmongs should remember who we realy are. We live freely without any modern things and our ancesters were happy. Living in the modern world has made some of us better and richer. Yet, due to some of our so called "leaders", most of our people in the community is suffering and behind the rest of the society. It is ok to say we made some progress, but we should also say "we have a long way to go baby!". Everything start with inside the family and being able to adjust to the pace of the rest of the society. At this point, alot of our people are still way behind.

We all should look inside ourselfs and wihin ourselfs. Ask "can we do much better?".
