HK Chinese wrote: Facts do not lie: The Diaoyu islands have been part of China since Ming Dynasty, serving as important fishing grounds administered by the province of Taiwan. This can be fully proven by history and is legally well-founded". Taiwan was ceded to Japan in the Treaty of Shimonoseki in 1895, after the Sino-Japanese war. Taiwan was returned to China in 1945 after the surrender of the Empire of Japan on September 2, 1945. On September 8, 1951, Japan signed the Treaty of Peace with Japan (commonly known as the Treaty of San Francisco or San Francisco Peace Treaty) with 48 nations. Article 3 of the treaty states that Japan will concur in any proposal of the United States to the United Nations to place under its trusteeship system, with the United States as the sole administering authority, Nansei Shoto south of 29deg. north latitude (including the Ryukyu Islands and the Daito Islands), Nanpo Shoto south of Sofu Gan (including the Bonin Islands, Rosario Island and the Volcano Islands) and Parece Vela and Marcus Island. Pending the making of such a proposal and affirmative action thereon, the United States will have the right to exercise all and any powers of administration, legislation and jurisdiction over the territory and inhabitants of these islands, including their territorial waters. Due to the ongoing Chinese Civil War, neither the Republic of China nor the People's Republic of China were invited to the San Francisco Peace Conference, and neither were parties to the San Francisco Treaty. On June 17, 1971, a reversion was agreed between Japan and USA concerning the Ryukyu Islands and the Daito Islands. This had created world-wide uproars and protests by Chinese. china should be part of mongolia if that the case

I am studying overseas in UK and have seen the attack on our islands and disrespect to our land. It has been years since we have fought the Japanese, but now we are strong!
I say we crush those little Japanese!
I am boiling with anger at Japan's arrogance - they will never change

KissMahAss wrote: <quoted text> china should be part of mongolia if that the case This is not the right place to discuss matters other than the title. Using you logic, "any country (china) should be part of invader (mongolia) if that the case", therefore, it is appropriate to list out a brief history of Mongolia here: a. In 1206, Genghis Khan waged a series of military campaigns sweeping through much of Asia, and forming the Mongol Empire. Under his successors it stretched from present-day Poland in the west to Korea in the east, and from Siberia in the north to the Gulf of Oman and Vietnam in the south. b. After Genghis Khan's death, the Mongol Empire was subdivided into four kingdoms or Khanates, one of the khanates, the "Great Khaanate", consisting of the Mongol homeland and China, became the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) under Kublai Khan. c. After the collapse of the Yuan Dynasty, the Mongol court fleeing to the north and the Mongols returned to their earlier pattern of constant internal conflict and occasional raids on the Chinese borderlands. d. At the end of the 17th century, all of Mongolia had been incorporated into the area ruled by the Qing Dynasty. e. During the collapse of the Qing Dynasty in 1911, Mongolia declared independence. f. Mongolia had to struggle until 1921 to firmly establish de facto independence from the Republic of China, and until 1945 to gain international recognition.

Stupid white man! Shut up with empty threats against China. It is true the Yanks have created a string of enemies on our borders, but we to have allies. We have kept India off balance for decades by arming Pakistan - which has always been a close ally. Even here, in Oxford University, the Pakistani origin students are positive towards us Chinese. We can control the stupid Filipinos and Vietnamese by simple fear, but yes settling up with Japan and other more able states is needed - and the next generation leadership will have to chalk up a strategy.

You ignorant American! China has always had good government-government ties with Pakistan. Since 1960's we have been close allies. The personal warmth stems from warm bilateral ties. On a personal level, all the Pakistani students at Oxford I have met have had great respect for our culture. Their country is poor the but people are cultured, you Yanks are rich but have no history. Its called research you fat, lazy Yank.

States do not borrow per person you stupid American. Obviously you have no knowledge of political economy or global affairs. States borrow as state actors and your cesspit of a state begs from our mighty hand. Bet it burns you that this is our century, and the next one and the one after that. Check your own research, by 2050 any comparison between any state and China becomes worthless. We will own the world and everything in it!
