It's true, South Africa cannot be compared to these countries but it didn't take them an incantation to be the best. All it took for these countries to be at the peak is hardwork, determination and dedication, that's it. And we South African youth can change all that and put our motherland country on the map. It's all up to us, it starts with you!

Nigerians are NOT the most literate. You only have to read a few 419 scams sent unsolicited to your inbox to see that Nigeria needs more help with teaching its citizens how to read and write.

Wheather You Are From Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria or Any Where in Africa Education is The Key To success. Debating about Which country is more educated does not change the Poor state our continant as at. South Africa Democracy is still Young we are United towards building good place for all, we try to create as much opportunities we have. Apartheid really crippled the country it is only now that the black people in South africa are investing in education. It is the only country represanting Africa in the G20 countries, it has the largest GDP in Africa, the standard of education in private schools is one of the best but Most South africans afford Public schools which is not the best but seen as like limiting pupils ,I myself went through it. i love my country and looking at Africa ,thank god am South african. This debate is pointles.
You say this debate is pointless, but you then made a comment on a pointless debate? Maybe that is why everyone here is saying South Africans are NOT educated...is basically because they make comments on debates which they say are pointless...ha ha ha!

Do you know why Kenyan's ain't arguing here but only making points and leaving? They are excellent intellects. They can just fit in any institution of of higher learning with their basic knowledge offered from home schools.
Proudly Kenyan!

Zimbabwe has the best education in Africa. They have the lowest pupil per book ratio, pupils per teacher ratio and they have some of the best schools infrastructure on the continent. They are currently not very well funded but still better than well funded countries like SA, no wonder Zim graduates are doing well in SA

You cannot compare Zimbabwe's A' level with South Africa's matric...Currently South Africa's education system is one of the worst in the world, ranked 140 out of 144...! Zimbabwe has one of the best education system compared to our neighbour Country (South Africa)

Zimbabwe has the best educational system in Africa, and possibly in the list of being one of the best in the whole world! I went to school there for 6 and a half years and it had givin me the best attributes that a lot of universities want in a student: manor, GREAT LITERACY!!, attitude to work, skills such as people/problem solving, etc and many more. Which is a lot more than what I can say for the British educational system, where I went for high school and a year at primary, and it is aporling as to how they do things and what they dont teach the students that Zim did.
And to the person who was writing about Rhodesia, yes there were white people, but how come Zim is still holding the title when it is still going through all the racism and that there are hardely any whites left? So if what I think your trying to say is that whites were the ones that have givin that title to Zim, then why is a highly populated country of whites, like South Africa with a lot of white teachers, still has one of the lowest educational systms in the world?

Who needs education anyway?,just as long as ntate Mandela is giving us social grants,we are ok. All these foreigners can shove their degrees, and just focus on working in our construction companies and as our housemaids. God damn i love my south Africa, coz everything is here and all I need to get a job is my ID,not a degree, what for?. So all of you Zims, Nigerians, kenyans etc whatever you call yourselves, you can all kiss my low standard educational ass. School's out!!,somebody gimme a beer!!....

I did grade 11 in two months and passed it with distinctions which clearly tells us that South African education is lame even a baby can pass it after giving her a bottle of milk. No one can ever do A level in a short period of time because that person will be inviting humiliation after they have failed dismally.

hey zimbo,
1)if you lot are that educated why does mugabe get voted into power all the time, vote for somebody else
2)well didn't you lot just grow in leaps and bounds after building great zimbabwe.
3)remember the old white joke when mugabe took over, it went- COME AND SEE ZIMBABWE IN RUINS, well hasn't that come true.

Education in S.A is very poor compared to the whole African countries...why in the world do they stil teach mat literacy? If there is something special about it,it should be tought together with pure mat as a combination as like in grd 9...many pupil are lazy for pure mat,but if there was'nt this "fake mat" they would not have a choice.

Actually most of our youth are determined...the prob is that we ignore subjects such as science and pure mat..well i guess the reason is that we cnt just spend lot of years and money studying to be unemployed.so i think its far more better to be self employed...while that doesnt help our could, ugh!
