These so-called xenophobic attacks are a disgrace. Nigeria is not as wealthy as South Africa and yet, Nigeria absorbed hundreds of thousands of war refugees from Sierra Leone and Liberia without grumbling. Why can't South Africa do something similar? So much for African Union.

African countries have a lot to learn from one darling of a country in West Africa called GHANA. This is not a wealthy country as such, but yet they are content and at peace with themselves and the world around them. Ghana is so because it is a country that invests a lot in the education of its citizens.

There is a difference between a few hundred thousand and 5 million. Some sources say the number of illegals in South Africa is closer to 10 million.
South Africa can't save the rest of Africa. What our government should be doing is encouraging democracy and economic growth in the rest of Africa while mantaining the integrity of our borders.
Unfortunately they won't even condemn a brutal dictator right on our doorstep. The ANC's incompetency is sometimes breathtaking. Under them South Africa's light is fading.
People who vote ANC deserve to be deported to Zimbabwe because that's what they creating here.

Actually this means I'm leaving Africa for good and taking my Markettable skills and experience to America.........this means this dark continent will no benefit from many of the people like me who have had enough..........If I wanted to commit suicide I'd just travel to jo'burg,not some dying,salt water,crocodile inevsted lake in the North....

crime was the deciding factor in each case.

Whilst I don't care about my personal safety, thinking of the cruelty that I have seen so far in my life here in SA and thinking of my baby daughter, sometimes gives me a cold feeling around my heart.

I tell you one thing. If she ever was to be killed in crime, I will flip.
