Regarding those arrested in Yemen I couldn't possibly comment, since we don't exactly know the reasons behind their arrests. And I'm sorry to break this to you but refugees are just as capable of committing criminal offences just like everybody else, they don't get special treatment.

I have heard of this but I would not blame an entire race. I don't think most yemen would even agree to this. This is one of the reasons I wanted to work in yemen. Help somalis in yemen but I realized if I tried to fix somali than they would come back. Inshallah.

I have more respect for Kenya and other Africans than i do, for Arabs. Somalis are so up in arab-ass, that they can't see what is being done to our people.

Yet how many muslim countries wish to be just like the western countries. sigh. The state of the muslim identity is on life support.
Anyways, what's horrifying is not they arrested ppl who need help but they treated them in islamic way. I was speechless when I heard this but it's not the ppl of yemen but the do called "muslim" leaders. Shame. Just pure shame at our leaders.

You will never miss an opportunity to brush the West as "brutal" and (ingeniously) claim that the saudis are "civilised"; maybe it is a testament to your naivety about what happens in Saudi Arabia, or, genuinely believe the misconcption of Somalis in the West that Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia do have higher standards of individual rights than in England, or in the U.S. Do you live in a bubble?

Do you see religious police in British Malls checking how a chick is dressed, or behaves? What were these religious police doing in the mall in the first place? For da'wa? This was only one lady out of hundred's in the Mall who stood up to them? Why will she? did you ask yourself if she was well connected (from a very wealthy, or, maybe from the royal family) who has the confidence that she can beat them? Watch again, she threatens them to complain directly to the head of the religious police "abd al-lateef al ash-Shaikh" for harassment; do you know who the al sheikhs are? They are the descendants of Mohamed Abdiwahab and are above the rest of the Saudis except members of the Royal family. Indeed she is well connected and the majority of Saudi women wouldn't dare to challenge these religious police.

Not long ago, there was this Somali girl that I know who was raised in Australia (never traveled overseas), worked here as a nurse with a decent income and good work conditions. she was convinced by salafis to seek hijra to a Muslim country and seek employment there. she applied a nursing job and was hired by a hospital in Saudi Arabia. After 74 days, she came back because she was gang-raped in the hospital she worked by 3 saudi male staff. She was advised not to complain to authorities as she will only dig a deeper hole for herself (being imprisoned for defaming noble Saudis) and this counsel fitted well with her being as a Somali who shun the publicity of "rape" and kept quiet about her whole ordeal. She is a different person now.

Btw, refugees are treated more humane in the West than in Saudi Arabia. Saudis deport en-masss omalis at will without considering for their safety while in the Westren world and in paricular your neck of the woods they find very hard even to deport Somali criminals beack to somalia because the do have legal right and can apeal any adverse decission by a government department.

Furthermore, it is common for decent somali mothers without legal documents to seek selling their body (prostituting) in Saudi Arabia, or generally in the Middle East, for survival reasons and to send money to their children and parents back home. while in the West, these mothers are given welfare, free housing, medical and education for their children to uphold their dignity as human beings? If these countries are "civilised" by treating Somalis that way, indeed the West is "barbaric". Somali reasoning. If you will renounce your British citizenship and have the audacity to live in one of these "civilised" countries, I will buy you a one way ticket. How that for a deal?
