I donīt know anything about that DNA stuff but I do know that there are similarities between the soomaali language and the language of ancient egypt. Here are som examples of similar words:

Language: Somali/Egyptian (meaning)

Ra/Ra (The sun)

Neter/Neder (divine being)

Hipo/Hibo (the sound b doe not exist in Hamitic languages - gift)

Heru/Huur (a stork)

Tuf/Tuf (spit)

Habi (the Nile)/Wabi ( a river)

Ar/Ar ( a lion)

cb/kab (shoe)

brq/biriq (lightning)

ayah/dayah (moon)

dab/dab (fire)

anka/aniga (I)

su, asu/usi (he)

Ka/Ka,Kaah (spirit)

medu/muud (liquid)

Somalis donīt claim Egyp...but some sources say that they (Ancient Egyptians) used to call the somali pensula as the Land of Punt i.e The land of the Gods or the Land of the Beginning.

Yup it seemed like they worshipped us.

Niether somalia's and ancient egyptions came from the same ancestory hence hamitic, and other langauge share way more words with ancient egyptions than somali's like ta-badawi and berber...anceint egyptions is just like another hamitic tribe..imagine in somalia you had a tribe called "myzrami"..just like oromo, afar they just made the most of their time.

Recent DNA studies have shown that the ancient egyptians were the same people like todays somalis. The ancient egyptian mythology also says that the egyptians came from the land of Punt which was located somewhere in the north of todays Somalia. DNA research also shows that the ancient Greeks came from Egypt. Actually the Y- DNA E1b1b makes up the bulk of paternal( father/men) DNA in Egypt, Greece, Balkan and southern Italy and the higest concentration of E1b1b is found in the horn of Africa( Somalia) and Egypt. The ancient egyptians, the berbers, the somalis, ethiopians, eritreans, north-east sudanese people( Beja people) are of the hamitic race. The hamitic race is a subgroup of the caucasian race together with the indo-europaen race( europaens, iranians, indians, pakistanis, afghans) and semitic race( arabs). The somalis are like europaens with black skin like people from southern India.
The somalis and egyptians are of the hamitic race but most of the sudanese people are of the nilotic race. The conflict in Sudan is between the nilotic people in southern Sudan; Darfur and the arab/ nilotic people of the north. Barack Obamas father was from Kenyan nilotic Luo tribe . The people of Cha, Uganda, pats of Kenya and Tanzania are also nilotic. But the north eastern people of Sudan are hamitic like the somalis and egyptians. The nubians are origanally a mix between nilotic people and the hamitic people of the Kingdom of Kush, but the nubians are closely related to egyptians and somalis.

The ancient egyptians were the same race as todays somalis, ethiopians, eritraens. The somali, ethiopians and ancient egyptians are of the hamitic race. The hamitic race is a subgroup under the caucasian race. The caucasian race comprises the hamites( somali, ethiopians, eritreans, ancient egyptians and berbers) the indo - europaens( europaens, iranians, afghans, pakistanis, indians, tamilians) and semites ( arabs)

"The term Caucasian race (also Caucasoid or Europid) has been used to denote the general physical type of some or all of the indigenous populations of Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Asia, Central Asia and South Asia.[1] Historically, the term has been used to describe the entire population of these regions, without regard necessarily to skin tone. In common use, the term is sometimes restricted to Europeans and other lighter-skinned populations within these areas, and may be considered equivalent to the varying definitions of white people.[2]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucasian_race
"In scientific racism, the "Hamitic race" was a sub-group of the Caucasian race, alongside the Semitic race, grouping the populations native to North Africa, the Horn of Africa and South Arabia. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamitic
"Besides comprising the majority of the Y DNA in Somalis, the E1b1b (formerly E3b) genetic haplogroup also makes up the bulk of the paternal DNA of Ethiopians, Eritreans, Berbers, North African Arabs, as well as many Mediterranean and Balkan Europeans." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somali_people
E1b1b1a (E-M78) is a commonly occurring subclade, widely distributed in North Africa , the Horn of Africa, West Asia "up to Southern Asia"[23], and all of Europe.[24] The European distribution has a frequency peak centered in parts of the Balkans (up to almost 50%[6][25]) and Italy (see below) and declining frequencies evident toward western, central, and northeastern Europe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup_E1b1b ...(Y-DNA)
The ancient egyptian mythology said that the egyptians came from the land of Punt ( somalia). Todays DNA test support this. The ancient Greeks said the they were a mix between egyptians and aryan tribes. Todays DNA research support this. The DNA E1b1b is common among somali, egyptian, greek, albanian, and Italian men.

the m78 subclade e1b1b is found in about 77% of somali males which represent the traces of an ancient migration in to the horn from upper egypt.

http://www.youtube.com/watch...
they look somali to me and you can't say they are ethiopians beacuse most ethiopians are very light skinned and short.

im sorry but chiek anta diop debunked that caucasiod race theory thing...they were put into the caucasoid race thing ...so they wouldn not have to claim ancient egyptians as African or black .. when in fact E Africans began to take on caucasiod features through mixture with outside caucasoids over time. Never the less Diop stated that E Africans and more importantly AE were from the Same race as the rest of the African Population

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheikh_Anta_Diop

"But it is only the most gratuitous theory that considers the Dinka, the Nouer and the Masai, among others, to be Caucasoids. What if an African ethnologist were to persist in recognizing as white-only the blond, blue-eyed Scandinavians, and systematically refused membership to the remaining Europeans, and Mediterraneans in particular—the French, Italians, Greek, Spanish, and Portuguese? Just as the inhabitants of Scandinavia and the Mediterranean countries must be considered as two extreme poles of the same anthropological reality, so should the Negroes of East and West Africa be considered as the two extremes in the reality of the Negro world. To say that a Shillouk, a Dinka, or a Nouer is a Caucasoid is for an African as devoid of sense and scientific interest as would be, to a European, an attitude that maintained that a Greek or a Latin were not of the same race"
