Oh, you thought I was talking about Ismail and Ibrahim? No friends. I was talking about another boy that in this stories of the Quran meets Moses and his newfound prophet/teacher Khidh. You see, Khidh is supposed to be wiser than Moses and he gets commanded by Allah to do a very terrible thing. This story doesn't end with a happy ending like the story of Ismail.

Quran 18:74

So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him.[Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing."

[Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?"

[Moses] said, "If I should ask you about anything after this, then do not keep me as a companion. You have obtained from me an excuse."

(Quran 18:80 Kidr explains why he killed the boy)

And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief.

So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy.

..........

See, the moral of this story is that your Allah brings someone to this world and orders your prophets to kill him because he would become evil one day. One has to ask themselves why Allah is bringing the child to Earth in first place and does Allah need to a man to do his dirty work? And if God is concerned with people remaining good, why isn't he killing every child that is born so that they can enter paradise?

Oh well, rationality isn't the Quran's strong side. This is just a barbaric book that tells Muslims to follow their leaders even if it means doing horrible things, like murdering little children, without questioning. Really, this religion is dangerous on so many levels.

I would be sick if I was telling you to kill children or calling for the death of someone, but I'm not the one doing that, is it.

Either you are naive or plain stupid. He told you he is against beheadings and killings. If you can not argue about it then shut up. Sometimes you have good ideas but often you resort to insults when you can not argue your points. I can see the standard of education in Sweden is very low seeing the way you try to mudle in subjects you hardly comprehend. You are a follower of a very dangerous religion called islam and that has made you irasional and illogical. Islam and logic are diametrically opposite concepts. I feel sorry for you girl.

Nervous? Why would I be, you're derailing my topic, so get to the point. No I don't know either of them, but Qimney seems like an ok chap. I dislike rap music. Are they your heroes?

It's very interesting that this story often becomes hidden in contrast to the "happy" story of Ibrahim and Ismail. Would you people kill your children if God or your prophets commanded you to? No sane person would do it. Perhaps you're among the insane ones, so what if God ordered Ibrahim to have incest relationship with his son, there are just things that a person can't and shouldn't do. I guess Mohamed didn't like the story of Ibrahim and Ismail, or maybe he wanted another alternative that shoes that a Muslim indeed is able to commit such heinous deeds in the name of his religion. Whatever the case, I suggest you think about the evil actions of your imaginary god. Do you really want to serve a dictator and a tyrant like Allah? Only so you can get rewarded? How is it different from working for an evil man so you can get a good paycheck.

Lol. Wow. Are you honestly insulting ibrahim (as) for something that he is praised for? Hahaha. The reason he was chosen as a prophet was bc his the best of man kind. Also this was a test from allah and he showed his level of iman by showing how he obeys allah no matter what. So of course a person with week iman could never understan that allah is more important to them than their only child and even themself.

'would you kill you're people if god commanded you to'

I'm sure you heard of the story when god orderd one of the profits to slaughter his son and the profit without question slaughterd his son only for god to replace in his place with a lamb a test which proved his complete faith in god. We are nothing like the people of those times, now i see my self as a 'freethinker' and islam to me is nothing but 'common sense' ofcourse were not in 14ad no more and should consider the cultural diffrences...

What is there to praise this Abraham character for? That he was willing to kill his son for God? If Allah was good, the best thing for Abraham would be that he refused to kill his son. That's the only moral choice here. I asked a question and I want you to consider it, what if the question was for Abraham to have sex with his son. If Abraham prepared himself to sleep with his son, and God stopped him, would you praise this man? Hell no. Don't tell me that you're disgusted with the incest angle, when you weren't even affected by the infanticide perspective. That's a double standard. Abraham in this story was an idiot, full stop.

It's interesting to observe how you went from "it was another culture" to "I would do it if asked" so quickly. You convinced yourself in a matter of minutes to change your whole perspective on what is wrong and right. What if it was a two month old baby? Would you still do it? And you people quote the Quran and claim how it stopped pagan female infanticide where they used to bury in the so called "jaahiliya". And voila, you just said that you would kill children for Allah. Thank this "Allah" that he didn't instruct in the Quran to make child sacrifices for him, what kind of society would we be living in then?
