Shove it png. P.N.G. politicians ( i use the word politicians loosely too ) should actually try GOING to parliament when your suppose to be there. Have a look at the record of attendance by these rorting dogs. A good look at how they actually get elected shows there is another massive problem that needs fixing. Australia will NEVER support coups and cowards. I can recall that idiot somare lying through his teeth and pretending he didnt help that paedophile!!! moti escape INTERPOL and Australia.

Does the world support the idea of freeing the Aborigines/Maori from white economic colonialism in Australia/New Zealand? |
||||
The world took one look at PNG and a number of African countries and put that idea way out of its mind. |

1 are you even familiar with the situation in fiji.lols no australia does not support the military government rudds against it cause the present pm overthrew the polynesian qarase and made hismelf pm without democracry. No it isnt about indian economic colonialism as you have stupidly put it as a matter of fact there is no such thing as an indian economic colonialism as you have highlighted our ancestors came to fiji as indentured labourers and slaves 130 years ago and broke contact with their country of birth years ago just like the english came to australia and new zealand and africans to america. The only thing the people from fiji are trying to free themselves is the english constitution that was put forward during the english colonial times. that stupid consitituion has resulted in intertribal warfare among the polynesians and melanesians of fiji as well heated debates on who or what a real fijian is among other ethnic backgrounds. India has nothing to do with fiji which i am fucken sick and tired of emphasising the only thing we have in common is ancestry that is all most people from india especially the ones i have met never knew that our ancestors were brought as labourer or slaves to fiji or that us fijian indians even exist let alone there is a country called fiji i bet most dont even know anything about the existance of carribean indians |

PNG and Fiji are black melanesion people.
Tongans and Samoans are brown polynesian people |
||||
your spot on about tongans and samoans but the fiji one is debatable cause you have the micronesians whose island is part of fiji then you have an island called rotuman that is 100% polynesian then you have the part tongan mixed islanders who see themselves as polynesians not melanesians then you have the melanesians in a separate island |

1 The proposition that we should support the Fiji Military is still tricky. Despite assurances that the new electerol reforms will fair and equitable to all, Bainimarama just does not inspire confidence. It still looks like a grubby money grab by the Indigenous Fijiins from the Indians who create the wealth. Overt support by Australia for an illegal regime may just end up as another slap in the face when the next coup happens. Because the Indians are going to continue to be the money makers and the Fijiins are going to resent it. To be flippant, it is almost a case of too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. |

Rotuma never was part of Fiji and Fijians never lived there. It was an Island on its own with Polynesian people living on it. However, the people decided to go with Fiji and become a part of Fiji. That way they had some form of independence instead of being ruled by Great Britain. Rabi was an Island in Fiji where native Fijians lived originally. The Island was purchased and the native Fijians were moved to Taveuni. The Banabans are Micronesian people of Kiribati who settled on the Island of Rabi in Fiji. The Lau group is a part of Fiji Islands. Native Fijians have lived on the islands. Since it is located between Fiji and Tonga, historically a lot of trading took place between the two counties. As a result, a lot of Tongans (Polynesians) also started living on the Islands along with native Fijians (Melanesians) and later on mixed together. Although Fijians (Melanesians) are known as the natives of Fiji, Polynesians were the ones to settle in the country first. It must also be noted that the ancient Hindu text, Bhagavad Gita from India, spoke of Fiji and the Snake Gods. Hindu Snake Temples can be found today in Fiji. Ironically, Native Fijians and Indians (Hindus) have worshipped Snake Gods. |

Those Indians in Fiji could be offered resettlement in Australia. That would make the Fijians happy. Been to Fiji 15 years ago. Nadi sure feels like a suburb of Bombay. |
