I heard that Gbessay Kanu is interested in the chairmanship of the APC Party. I personally believe that is a good thing, not only for the Party but the country. I understand there are some people who believes that Gbessay Kanu is a thief and he contributed in messing up our Country. I call upon anyone to come up with any evidence to prove that Gbessay Kanu stole money from Sierra Leone. I have all my evidence that he did not. There would $5000 for anyone with accurate evidence.

Hassan Gbassay is one of the many Sierra Leoneans that should stay away from Politics for the sake of good ,and new ideas to flow.I know i am been nosey ,becoz i think this issue is APC issue,my concern is there are young Promising and dynamic Men and wome who should be given chance to try fresh ideas ,instead of circumnavigating party appointment among good for nothing people.I am not preeching war against age, but i have problem with people who are reluctant to new and good ideas "lonta" continously been used to our represent any group or our nation..

Young Blood, can you tell me how old you think Hassan Gbessay Kanu is? And, are you seriousely using age to exempt a man that sacrifice his life for Sierra Leone from his career? Hassan Gbessay Kanu is a unigue man in many positive ways.

I made it clear that i am against age ,but the idea of political Recirculing that has been a disease in our land. Hassan gbassay is better plying back role in party politics rather than been a frontlineer.

YB, Hassan Gbessay Kanu is not only a unique man in politic, he is also unique man in his love for Sierra Leone and its people.

We Sierra Leoneans should be happy to have him in our lives. Gbessay Kanu fought against great men including Bambay Kamara and Former President Momoh by himself, when no other politicians were willing to fight. These two men were the most powerful men in Sierra Leone in the mid 80's and early 90's.

Why do you think, NPRC speared Gbessay Kanu's life and kill others? Why was he accused of stealing the country’s money and yet unareested? In the early 90's when Sierra Leone’s economy was at the bottom, where was Hassan Gbessay Kanu? Why did Fm. President Momoh apologize for accusing him for stealing in 1992? A man, according to Momoh and Bambay was so wealthy, and yet his children lived with him in the Kissy area while other politicians sent their children to the States and other first world countries. A man, with so much love for his country, acted over 11 times as Vice President and served as Finance Minister for three years, refused to move to the luxurious areas in Freetown and lived as a regular citizens with his friends, family and fellow citizens in Kissy, Grassfield. A man, that believes in agriculture and employed over 4000 men and women at his famous Fellow Farm. A man that provide for his district, eat and show love and respect to homeless, poor, children and people from all background. If Hassan Gbessay Kanu is not a leader and if we, Sierra Leoneans refuse to respect people like him, our country will always stay behind in the world.

Hold your peace Looks,i know and do acknowledge all those great things about Mr.Kanu, and infact his kids are my fellow Bo School Brothers. The point i want you to understand is that, there is a need to new idea from young people who have not been chanced like Mr. Kanu to share thier ideas. I do believe that mr. Kanu is competent, but it is unrealistic to keep using the same people when there are many capable people that have not be given opportunity to try their ideas.
Thanks

YB, you live in the United States, you heard Obama taking about new ideas and old politics. Then you saw him pick Joe Biden, for his running mate. Biden, is an OLD idea. Obama realizes that he need someone next to him with the expirence abd knowledge to run a country. Yes we need new ieas but we connot the fact that new idea need old ideas to rule a coutry. There is a saying that goes "New broom can clean well, but old broom know the corners" We need new leaders with the mentalitry that they need old leaders to guide them. CLEAN OLD LEADERS! And HASSAN GBESSAY KANU IS ONE

Sierra Leone is our country and Mr Hassan G. Kanu is our brother, to come here and write bad things about Mr. Kanu is not only a disgrace is a shame and one of the reason why is because the President himself have great respect for Mr Kanu and he also had mentioned that Mr. Kanu played a great roll in the past election for APC to win. We as sierra Leoneans fail to realise that Mr Kanu was put through commision of enquireing during NPRC and he was freed and all his properties was giving back to him. The reason why things like this happen is beacause what God has Bless no man can distroy. Mr Kanu have a farm that brings him morethan 200 thousand dollar a year, and he also have insurance company and his wife had her own business which she inherit form her father. The point I am trying to show here is that even though we are in very advance country like the united states our minds are still blind. Lets get fact then judge the man \ but when we lie it only lead us to the bottom of the drain. APC fought mr Kanu before and the reason why, because he demand change and progresss but the others denied him the way to bring about that change. I get a fact about this and its fromt the mouth of the late Presidea\nt momoh. Its on tape, I listen to it when preisdent momoh came to the united state to appolgies to Mr Kanu before he died. President Momoh in his own words say " I allowed the government to ruin your plan for sierra Leone, if only you can find a place in your heart to forgive me Mr kanu I will die in peace". Mr Kanu reply " I forgive you a long time ago, what you should do is to asked God to forgive you". This is no joke I was there in Virginia with my friends most people in the room hate my kanu, but after they heard the truth they cried and shook their heads I was one of them that hated him. But today I can't tell you I love him but I can tell you that Bad politics ruins good politicains

Young blood please reply to this comment, you see I believe you are a very illegent person but you've been misled. Mr. Kanu stood up during commission and said these words to the commission " If NPRC find anything that link me with sealing any money, let them do whatever they want to do to me" Do you think that man will say things like that if he don't believe in it. Let don't like we use to be, listen to (den say) we should find the facts and then relie on that.

I think Mr. Kanu has enough in his hands in Transworld to be thinking about going into full time politics. His days are gone and the better and sooner he knows that the better it is for him and the country.
Moreover, instead of using this media to promote individual politicians, I think there are more important natinal issues to discuss. lonta.

My friend you are right,Mr Kanu,"has enough in his hands". But I believe Mr Kanu has enough in his hands to give to our beloved country Sierra- Leone.
I believe you are just one of those, enemies of progress for our beloved country.
What really made you think that Mr Kanu's days are gone? I really respect you for expressing your openion hence you need not cry down the designer of this web site.At least the site owner has given you a chance to express your feelings about Mr Assan G. Kanu. Joe please think like someone who is living in a first world. And also think about contributing ideas that other people willbe able to learn from you.Whatever you hold against Assan Gbassy Kanu, just think again that he has something goood for our people.I believe some day you will give your support to Mr Kanu . God bless.

It is always good to hear people opinions However, a faith, intelligent and honest is always respectful. Today, many of us live in foreign countries and we are learning politics from different prospective. For those that said Kanu is old, FYI he is only 63 and the American Republican Candidate is 72. Many of the other presidents form other first world countries presidents are over 63. Therefore, age is not an issue. To say Mr. Kanu’s time is done is not only ignorant but to an extent discrimination.

I will prefer all those that think less of a delegent, inspiring, devoted, respectful, and kind man like Kanu, to do there research before they add to this conversation. To Joe, this thread is for Gbessay Kanu, if you are not interested, there are other topics I am sure will be suitable to your interest. DO NOT REPEAT what you said any more because we are doing exactly what the media is interested in.

Mr Young Blood, why are you holding so much grievance against APC because they are in power? Mr, if you really love your country, i see no reason if the APC party is in power, it has to be your focus of criticism eventhough the government is doing well.I believe the kind of attitude you are expressing out is going to send the SLPP party in the wilderness for a very long time , just as they were sent into the wilderness for a long time in 1967 by the powerful Shaika P Stevens. Please cool your self down and enjoy the success of the ruling government and stop your nagetive thoughts.Your critices are a sign to the government that they on the right track and doing good for our beloved country.
Long live president Koroma
Long live APC party
And long live our beloved Sierra Leone
