My husband is a Seychellois and it our dearest wish to settle there, but I have over the past 25 years witnessed the corrupt government systematically destroy everthing that we held dear. I feel truly sorry for the seychellois people, for their paradise is being sold to the devil. In a few years the tourists will stop coming, the kreol people will have emigrated, and the Seychelles will be a nest of evil, inhabited only by Russian mafia, indian layabouts and rich idiot politicians. The people should rise up now and kill these bastards, who obviously have no love or respect for their islands or people.

Don't worry sis, mother nature will never allow that. They will do it to a certain limit but no further.
And yes we are rising...

Hey what do you get in doing that. Keep replying an old post over and over again, just stir up the peace.

Stop dat, we sick and tired of dat malicious game of yours.

Atleast keep that forum clean..have some respect on anothers boundary..deal your case with whoever is responsible..don't give ppl impression that we living in a shit whole.

When Seychelles is the African country with the highest literacy rate especially among female, something so rare in Africa.

Second best govern after Mauritius for 2 consecutive years in Africa.

Among the highest standard of living, low infant mortality rate.

Peaceful, friendly ppl, despite different religions and color shades.

Please stop insulting every Seychellois once and for all.

Stay away from our forum and live us alone for God sake.

As an Englishman, married to a wonderful seychellois lady for 10 years, I am starting to get a little bit cross about this constant misrepresentation of Seychelles by foreigners bearing grudges or with political motives. We are planning to move to Seychelles in a couple of years time. I suspect that my wife would never bhave been permitted to own land under colonial rule unless she was very rich. Seychelles has its problems, sure, but it is still the most beautiful place on earth to live and most seychellois are fantastic people.

In England we have a non-elected prime minister supported by about 20% of the population, appointed by Mr Blair. People who attend legitimate demonstrations are photographed, hassled and assaulted by police officers in droves, innocent Brazilians are murdered by police, all of this with no accountability.
We are taxed, taxed and taxed again, big companies and banks rip people off with no legal consequences.MP's and vast armies of government bureaucrats live like kings while the ordinary worker has to take an extra job to pay his gas and electricity bills, not to mention council tax, extortionate mortgages and rents. Meanwhile government manipulation of statistics is the norm.
We have binge drinkers lying in the gutter in every town centre across the land every weekend, crime is completely out of control, millions live below the poverty line, half the young adult population is on drugs, paedophiles and gangs roam the street.
The weather is appalling, you cannot eat out without getting ripped off and the food is bland at best.
Why on earth would anyone want to live in Seychelles?

In Seychelles I have seen no poverty. You can live a happy life as long as you don't expect all the luxuries of the West and are open-minded and tolerant towards other people and cultures. As a foreigner it is down to you to adapt to local culture, not the other way round, as perhaps it was in colonial times. Of course there are bad people in Seychelles, just like everywhere else, but I'm not convinced that these other so-called democracies have anything to crow about.
Personally speaking, I can't wait to live a simpler more relaxed lifestyle, surrounded by natural beauty, in communities that support each other, eat good simple healthy food, go walking, learn creole better and relax on the beach without anyone trying to get you to buy anything. Oh and whoever it was left that comment about the Seychellois being dirty should spend a week in our house - my wife hoovers the house twice a day and regards dirt as the ultimate enemy!

I have got a question for those of you who think Seychelles is the shittiest place on Earth? What do you suggest all the other Seychellois ( non-politicians that is) do...should we all leave the country and move to another? And contribute to all the immigration problems of those other countries? Or shall we try harder to change things and improve in our own country? I really don't get it... please help me out here

yes the seychelles government is so desperate to pay their $800million debt that james michel is prepared to sell anything even his backside.
so i am advising you to get into contact with the immigration office in seychelles and they will sell you a passport for $10 000

who is this maria trying to dirty the name of our country, did you see any beggars and hungry kids in the streets of victoria,i have never seen any crooks or mafia running this beautiful and immaculate country,so if your reason is politics,i advice you do it the right ,in the political rallies.
Catherine do you work for the government, this is one of the most corrupt places in the world, many good people have been robbed blind by the very people you and others put in power for the last 25 years.

The seychelles is bankrupt and no one in their right mind who has any assets or money should even enter the coastal waters.

On a positive note the real seychellois people are kind and generous, but when your own legal system locks up innocent people in order to steal their money that is CORRUPTION and IMMORALITY at its highest level.

I am impressed with the dignity inherent in the Sey. responses. Honestly, impressive. Even in righteous anger no one has responded with undue cruelty. I would like to learn more of this people's culture. Any advice here?

Hello to you all...critising my country
I am a Seychellois studying abroad...and yes...I do speak English and fluent French despite being 'poorly educated' in Kreol. It is true that you may come across a whole lot of lazy people...I have my own ideas about why they may be like that but please at least have the decency or yet 'intelligence' that all you foreigners are claiming to have..in comparison to us 'poor little Seychellois' to recognise the difference between the doings of a corrupt goverment and the nature of the people themselves.Don't label all of us as lazy, uneducated and poor.Yes we do have our fair share of problems and i believe we can do much better. The way you are critising us is just insulting. Please analyse the situation more deeply before you say such mean things.
And yes...i will be returning to my country to work once i've completed my degree. But unlike you...i can't turn my back on my country.I consider myself lucky to have it depsite all its problem.Maybe it'll get better one day.
Cheers

The person who are sad is not me....it is your corrupt government who has led the seychelles into a deplorable economic situation where they had no alternative but to beg to the IMF for financial assistance.
The persons responsible for that are as follows: RENE AND MICHEL..
..........MURDERERS..........
