Don't blame the Saudis. They are just following Islam. Blame Islam.

They are not following Islam. They are following the perverted version of it, perverted by Yazeed Mal'oon after his counter revolution at Karbala.
It is heavily contributed afterwards by the so called 'Muslim' Badshahs, to suit their vested vile political interests.
Islam in Power was finished with the end of Khilafate Rashida.
Even true Muslims today are trying their best to resurrect the same.

It all looks the same to me. Of course all christianity probably looks the same to you. The protestants and catholics. The fundamentalists and evangelists. What's the difference? It's all a bunch of hocus pocus mumbo jumbo. We would all be better off if we could evolve past it all.

While I do agree with you that 'We would all be better off if we could evolve past it all', we can't forget that the present and future both evolve from the past.
The past cannot be neglected altogether, as such.

The past is important as a tool of learning. We have learned that religion is akin to magic and magic is not real.

Every one has his/her own conclusions.
It depends on a person's own experiences and ingenuity.

I am not saying esoteric spirituality has no basis in reality. I am saying that religions based on acts of magic are rediculous. Such as flying, raising from dead, virgin birth, stuff like that.
