NO observor, you are wrong. It is a forum for all kinds of opinions and views. And I have never heard Robspierre tell people that they had to leave the forum or to start threads like you and your friends have in which you discuss posters in the most derrogatory terms and attempt to try to get them thrown off the Forum.
What gall you have. YOu cannot even let people have their say. For your information, this forum is not just for the biased garbage you spew. NOt everyone, thank God, thinks like you do, and doesn't agree with you.
Now why don't you stop making personal attacks and calling people names and just have your say, or in your case spew your filth and garbage and let others have their say. People who read the forum will be able to make up their own minds, without you twisting and turning their words, and putting the worst spin on it, ie. telling the readers what they should think.
People who can read well enough to read this forum have the ability to make up their own minds.
Stop with the name-calling and personal attacks or don't complain if you get some of it shoved back into your face.
You ignorant ofl biddy. Would you like me to produce a choice selection of both your and Robbo craps posts? It would not be difficult? Oh and by the way....where are your arguments about the Lativian citizenship issue? Mega Mouth!

Estonia: Shockingly low GDP growth

Today the Estonian statistics office announced the preliminary estimates of GDP growth in the first quarter of 2008. In Q1 08, economic growth decelerated sharply to 0.4 y/y (-1.9% q/q sa) compared to 4.5% y/y. The slowdown was broadly based but the main driver was a significant slowdown in private consumption and investment.
About 2% of economic slowdown can be attributed to transportation sector. The rest is attributable to worldwide economic slowdown, inflation, local slowdown due to the burst of real estate bubble.

As a side-note, there is no such thing as "a shockingly low GDP growth" - a steep decline might be called as "shocking", zero-growth is nothing like "shocking". Estonia's export rised 50% in 1992, that was called "a wild growth".

Russia sends 700 tanks and armored vehicles to Georgian border
Publication time: 16 July 2008, 17:21

The command of the Russian invaders reported that gangs of "commandos" stationed in Pskov, Russia have now been dispatched to the Georgian border as part of the so-called "military training exercises".

At the same time assistant of the ringleader of the Russian gang called "Land Troops of the Russian Federation", some "colonel" Igor Konashenkov especially stressed that "the deployment of the units of the Pskov Division is not being done in this particular region of the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict".

"Transfer of commandos is carried out by IL-76 aircraft of military transportation fleet of Russia's Air Force along the Pskov-Mozdok airlift. A total of five IL-76 are involved. At the present time two aircraft with personnel, conventional armaments and equipment are already up in the air. After landing in Mozdok the commandos will conduct a multi-kilometer march in their military vehicles to the area of the exercises in the mountainous terrain located at the altitude of about 2,500 meters," Konashenkov said.

He also said that in Volgograd (Central Russia) members of another gang called "Landing Assault Regiment of 20th Motorized Infantry Division" are now being loaded into a military train along with weaponry and military hardware.

"The train will deliver the servicemen to Krasnodar Region, from where they will start heading for the area of the maneuvers in their vehicles," as the deputy ringleader mentioned.

Russian media reported that according to the "legend of the training exercises", Russia's enemies "are trying to set up a number of bases and camps on the territories of the mountain regions of the North Caucasus to train sabotage groups in order to destabilize the situation in Southern Russia". The enemies are also "attempting to break through the State Border of the Russian Federation".

The main objective of the maneuvers is "to assess the military command's capability of joint cooperation in the conditions of a terrorist threat in Southern Russia. Issues of solving the peacekeeping problems in the zones of armed conflicts will be practiced during the exercises as well," Konashenkov announced.

During the exercise "practical actions on preparation and carrying out of special operation on searching, blocking and liquidating illegal armed formations in foothill and mountain areas of the North Caucasus will be practiced as well," deputy ringleader said. Yet he forgot to specify that Russia has been "searching and blocking" the above-mentioned "formations" for the past nine years, but so far the attempts have been unsuccessful.

This fact, as well as the fact that the Russian troops have been dispatched to the Abkhazian borders, and that Russian Black Sea Fleet, air defenses and Air Force are involved in the "exercise" point out that Georgia is the target. Over 700 tanks and other armored vehicles have been brought to Abkhazian borders. 30 aircraft are involved.

In this connection many commentators point out that Georgia is aware of the fact that Russia will launch a military aggression in the month of August.

Also, another military training exercise involving the U.S., Azerbaijan, Armenia and Ukraine, where 1,200 US Marines are taking part as well is now being conducted near Georgian capital Tbilisi.

So, showing an interest in the history of the Soviet Union is being 'pro-Soviet' and 'pro-communist' for you. Quite a remarkable conclusion!!
You just can't stand it that someone from the West is Russophile, and actually likes the country.
That's what you can't digest! Your Polish roots tell you to hate anything Russian and you cannot accept someone else's opinion being different than yours. You have lots of issues!!
You have hit the nail on the head. Is Europe the same way. IE. here in the USA every nationality can be who they are but if they are slavic they are the enemy and free speech doesnt'apply.

The people who actually impressed me on the issue of free speech were the Jews, who acted like human beings when a bunch of NAZIs decided to march through their community. They did not deny them the freedom of speech, even though the Jews were practically exterminated in Europe and many survivors lived there in that town. They respcted the freedom of speech.

Now take the haters on this forum who think that the only speech that is allowed is that which agrees with them and any person, regardless of nationality who speaks out without deroggatory remarks against Russia must be stifled.

VEry curious way to conduct the freedom of speech isn't it? To say nothing of phoney.

MIliatary exercises in the Caucuses. Now what earthly reason is there for that. To prop up the Georgian lackey they put into place to cater to the USA and NATO? Obviously to provoke a response of Russia taking measures to counteract the threat of NATO and the propogandists who are acting all innocent like they have nothing to do with provoking the situation.

If Russians were conducting military exercises with Cuba and Venezuela and whoever esle isn't happy with the USA, I wonder if the USA would be moving troops and equipment, like ships near the borders of Cuba.

Yet we are to believe that such an encroachment and provocation on the southern borders of Russia is no reason for Russia to move troops to protect its interests and the interest of those in South Ossetia and Abkazia who have declared that they do not want to be a part of GEorgia and have been saying so for a decade and a half.

So it is okay for the Canadian Diaspora to be inciting Hatred against Russia and putting anyone who disapproves of this action in danger by threatening them with dire consequences if they do not 'SHUT Up" and there is nothing wrong with stifling the opposition of people who challenge and don't buy into their drivel?

Why exactly is it that the Diapora, Canada, the USA and their hater friends in the Baltics and Poland criticizing Russia for?

Oh that's right, they claim the opposition is not allowed to speak out and that makes them not a democracy. So why is the USA and the so-called Democracies in the west called Democracies????

Not one word you have spoken on this forum rings with any truth, but only confirms the lack of education, and inablity for tolerance which makes your posts so easy to ignore.

Actually, last economic news are more supportive to my forecast of deep economic crisis in Baltic countries, which they may not overcome, though we should look another. We are heading to interesting time.

So the "russian bear" says that it is a bear market for the Baltics?

Me being tarmo (name related to Bos taurus/bos primigenius), I am a bit more bullish ;-)

Crisis or not, but we will most definitely overcome it.

The question was to our dear friend Steponya who claims that Russians are discriminated against in Latvia because they are required to be able to speak Latvian to be granted citizenship. The problem is that the Russian woman concerned in the specific case neither wanted to be Latvian nor speak the language. So in what way was she being discriminated against by being refused citizenship. Steponya claims she has many good arguments to illustrate this "discrimination". Have you any?
