Amazing!

Amazing! I wish I could get some here, but it is unavailable (Delaware). There is a wannabe PR restaurant at a strip mall, but it is run by a Peruvian I believe and the place is always empty. You know what that means. I guess I have to stick to making my own or going over my Mom's.

Why is your ISP Toronto, Canuckerville?

I cannot get rid of the Toronto Canada ISP. It was a computer glitch of some type by the Topix program. It forced that location on me and I cannot change it. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? Contact Topix, but I think it's not that important. The gang here knows who you are and that's all that matters. How far are you from a major city?

It's estimated anywhere from 75,000 to 125,000. I guess the 2010 census will give a more accurate count. Sadly, most live in poverty in the inner city.

You're not gonna believe this, but I've planned weekend excursions to San Francisco with the precise goal of going to my favorite Puerto Rican restaurant on the West Coast. The place is called Nueva Frutilandia. It's in the Mission District which use to be the old Puerto Rican neighborhood. I believe there are a few blocks of Ricans still left, mostly the older folks, but the area has changed with the introduction of new rivals, mainly from El Salvador and Latin America. They have a website. Their arroz con gandules is out of this world. I've yet to check out that place in LA (Pasadena) called "Mi Madre". I heard the food there is great, though expensive. It's owned by Jennifer Lopez. I seem to forget to go, probably because I get sidetracked to the Versailles Cuban restaurant in Manhattan Beach. Now yhat place is fantastic and the price so reasonable.

I believe it is supposed to be a Cuban restaurant. I was disappointed that she did not open a Puerto Rican restaurant. I know at the time she hired one of her ex-husbands to manage the place. Odd eh?

I heard the restaurant is actually a fusion of a lot of different Latin dishes with the main emphasis on Puerto Rican. I'll let you know when I try it.

I do want to thank the Puerto Ricans for all the art work they spray paint on public buildings, trains, and basketball backboards. A thing of beauty.
