Cuba's population is approximately 62 to 70% non-White.

Here is the actual make up of whites, blacks and mestizo of each of the 20 Latin American countries in the world...

Puerto Rico does now have the highest concentration population of whites, nowadays, than does Cuba and the rest of the Caribbean..

More than half of the white Cubans left Cuba ever since Fidel Castro took over Cuba, back in 1959.

Most white Cubans reside either here or in different parts of the world, including here in Miami or Puerto Rico.

Where are you getting your statistics from? If you are basing your argument on US Census Bureau data, all it means is that nearly 80% of Puerto Ricans identified themselves as "White". It does not mean they are actually "White".

In 2003, a study funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation revealed that 61 percent of all Puerto Ricans had Amerindian mitochondrial DNA, while 27 percent had African and only 12 percent Caucasian.

The bottom-line is that in the real world, you are either White or non-White. You do not have to a rocket scientist to figure out that the majority of Puerto Ricans fall into the latter group, non-Whites.

It does not matter what you say, all of us, including you, are mixed with some type of different DNA's and if Puerto Rico's whites, which may not be milky white to you, call themselves white, as I'm, but have Amerindian DNA, that's ok too, since most in that part of the world was inhabited by the Taino Indians also, which mixed with the white Spaniards and African slave blood DNA also. IN America you are either white or black, there is no in between that O know of...There is no such thing as the brown race....American whites, many of them identify themselves with Cherokee Indian, or some other type of Indian tribe DNA blood. But it does not stop them from calling themselves white? Or does it?
Should we also have some Amerindian indian DNA in us, who do look white and are considered white, should it stop us from calling ourselves white also as our birth certificates also state and indicate, that we are white, not black, nor Indian?

Our birth certificates say that we were born white. Now you can insist on making the rules as you go along in your own mindset, but this is based on government data, not even in our own PR data either, and it says that 80% of Puerto Ricans identify themselves as white, just as whites in America also say they have some type of Indian blood in them also.
The bottom line, it is not what race or color we all are, but what type of character we all have, good or bad. And in God's eyes, the only race that He truly counts on, is the entire human race...None of us are saved by our race, nor by color, but what is in our hearts, not what's in our DNA.

Because Quadroons and Octaroons ... usually consider themselves White ... so these figures aren't really proving that Puerto Ricans are White.

Most Puerto Ricans are Quadroons or Octaroons. Of course, you as an individual can be of the opinion that they're White but objectively ... they are still mixed.

They just have a more inclusive idea of what it means to be White (i.e. a quadroon is white to them)

I am 40% Amerindian (60% White) and consider myself non-white but to each their own. Puerto Ricans are part Black though.

And by the way, we should have a look at Y-DNA too because most Puerto Ricans have more Black in them than mongoloid... most mestizos don't identify with them at ALL

The problem with dave Lopes in this forum who owns most of those unregister names in Topix.......wants to be white...He does not by any means wants to be call mulato, negro bembon o jabao.

Si pero eso de que PR es 80% blanco ( de tez, claro) es mentira y todo el mundo lo sabe, en PR hay una renuencia creciente hacia nuestra herencia africana en muchos sectores. Tu tienes unos ninos preciosos, de tez y facciones de raza blanca, pero si miramos la genealogia tuya ( y digo tu porque no se si tu esposa es de PR) estoy segura que encontraremos las 3 razas. A PR le falta mucho por educarse en ese aspecto.
