LOLOL Are you serious? Boricuas come in every shade under the sun. White? no. Black? no. Taino? No. A mix? Absolutely. It doesn't matter what you fill out on paper, it's in the blood lines. You must have never been to your own island before. That is a damn shame if you haven't. |

I love your post. I was with you except the comment about Africans. They WEREN'T immigrants at all. And unfortunately most of them don't even know where they come from so in my opinion they are more American than we are. America is all they know, they didn't have a choice. I personally think that all Puerto Ricans SHOULD pay federal taxes. I don't think it is fair that 45% of the population on the island receives some kind of federally funded aid (25 billion dollars in 2010) but they don't pay federal taxes. I'm not proud of the way this makes us look lazy and like we cannot provide for ourselves. If the taxes I pay go to an island that doesnt do the same, I would be pissed too. |

Now I'm sure you get treated back in Philippines like we do in Puerto Rico. If you weren't born on the island and/or don't live on it then your not Filipino just like we're supposedly not Puerto Rican and we're an American. But then folks don't want to admit that we're american either. I say; to hell with both: I'm Nuyorican. |

Judged: 1 I love the folks that aspire and strive for better because it helps others to have someone to look up to and it opens the doors to see us differently. But I hate those who act like hood rats and just want to blame everyone else because they have no aspirations and act just like those fellow Black American brothers and sisters who enslave themselves through their mentality. Ghetto is not where you live its a state of mind! |

Well I am a proud American from Puerto Rico and believe me, I have seen some pretty ugly babies here in the island, starting with my own family...LOL I, for starters, was not the most beautiful or even the cutest, my sister (on the other hand) would have made any Johnson and Johnson promo....or even Gerber....LOL |
Too funny! |

LOL Is true, yo era feo de bebé con coj....ines...LOL and allow me to clarify, both my parents made the most beautiful of newlyweds...LOL Mom looked like a French model of the 50's and Dad was (not handsome) but a pretty boy with beautiful Spanish looks. My sister got the best of 'em and I don't know what happened to me...LOL (whatever happened to baby Jorge?...LOL). |
You mean "Baby Huey"? http://media.photobucket.com/image/baby%20hue... |

Remember Baby Huey? LOL I have these neighbors who have this pup....which weighs around a 100 pounds and (on his 'hind legs) gets to around 5 ft...LOL His name is Negro, but I call him Baby Huey. He's just a poppy, playful, innocent but he might kill you in one of his games...LOL |
Cuyo. Yikes! |

I am american and I live in Puerto Rico. I am going to say this and not TO ALL BUT THE MAJORITY OF people born in USA with Puertorican roots, never been to PR and lots of them (not all as I said) are a very bad representation of what is a Puertorican. We are judged by what USA citizens see in USA while is a big difference between the ones born in there. Americans shouldnt hate us because we are part of them. Like I have said before in this forum, is plenty of Puertoricans that have moved to USA and are all professionals: doctors, attorneys, engineers and lots of military men that been honored and represented USA.

Most Americans don't hate Puerto Ricans, is just ´good ol' regional and cultural differences....like it happens in every country around this green world of ours...some people just think that due to a number of reasons, they are just better than others...so don't take it at heart.... That feeling of being "picked on" is part of our colonial mentality. Let's move on! |
