Why do Puerto Ricans THINK they're AMERICAN?

Puerto Ricans are NOT American. I have never understood why they try to promote that idea. It is really kind of pathetic because everyone knows that Puerto Rico is just an American colony. Do Puertos really not realize that Puerto Rico is just an American colony and that they are just conquered peoples?

There is nothing American about them. They cannot celebrate the 4th of July because it wasn't their country that was liberated. They cannot celebrate Thanksgiving because they don't even know the meaning. Purto Ricans generally look nothing like Americans. Sometimes the black and mulatto ones can pass for American (and they are always trying to) as long as they keep their mouth shut but as soon as they open their mouths it's a wrap because Americans are NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS with Northern European names. We speak English and do not have Spanish names. Real Americans are not Hispanic, only immigrants (usually illegal) are. Names like "Maria", "Consuela", and "Juan" no son nombres de los Americanos.

Real Americans do not consider you American, to us you are just island Mexicans. What really makes me angry is when the black/mulatto Puerto Ricans imitate the culture of black Americans. Do you guys do this so that people won't know your Hispanic and will think/assume you are really American? That is pathetic, and black American do not appreciate it. Can you please take back Zoe Saldana and Lala Vasquez, because we don't want them and they are not fooling anybody.

Puerto Rico is occupied territory and Puerto Ricans have so little pride in their nation and culture that they are spreading their legs for America and allowing it to f*ck Puerto Rico doggystyle just so its citizens can call themselves Americans despite the fact that Americans do not consider them one of us. I know there must be some proud Puerto Ricans out there who have more dignity than that, so why don't you guys tell me what you think about Puerto Ricans calling themselves American when there's nothing American about them?

My country Yes Puerto Rico, didnt open the doors to the United Stated, we were invaded by the USA 1898, and we were given the citizenship in order for our me to go to war. We are a territory of the United States just like the US Virging islands and we are all USA citizens whether you like it or not.

Why do you keep talking about Americans being jealous of you, ain't nobody jealous of Zoe Saldana or ol' hard-face Lala Vasquez. They don't hold a candle to women like Beyonce and Kelly so I don't know what you think you're talking about. The only ones who are famous over here are one s who can pass for black Americans, other than that we just think y'all look like Mexicans and believe me there is NOTHING to be jealous of there.
