MANILA: US not coming to Philippines' aid vs China

WTF (Where's the Filipinos?) What do you expect? Us Canos are busy shooting up Arabs. We don't have any time to deal with RP issues. Besides with so many Cano-haters there, why bother?

Yeah right...it's time to cut the unbelical chord. Dependence on foreign aid is one of the reasons why the Philippines is weak and complacent. If China really flex is muscles...there's nothing the Philippines can do but whimper and log diplomatic complaints. Of course Filipinos can fight, but the result, as one can imagine, would be awfully one-sided. The Philippines could end up with nothing but blackeye and bruises.

Best thing to do is work with China and the rest of the claimants. Let China develop the region and share whatever bounty the disputed group of islands could give. Of course China as the developer could have say...25% and 15% each to the rest. This way...bloodshed is avoided and everyone's happy. Outsiders not welcome!

The U.S. cannot afford getting involved. It will not side with the Philippines even if she wanted to. The U.S. is hugely indebted to China, remember? If China decided to dump those American T-Bonds, the American economy would be in trouble. It could create financial crises to other countries dealing with the U.S.

It's time to stand on our own. With no means to defend ourselves against the might of China...diplomacy is the surest way. The things is...win or lose we have to be on our own.

A US Senator said "China has Invaded the USA without firing one single Bullet". Money can buy a lot of things but in this case the Chinese Money has bought the country of the USA because the USA Government has Borrowed so much "Bail Out Money" from the Chinese Government.
Even the USA President Barak Obama was talking about the "New American Flag for the USA" when the USA "Sleeping Giant" finally does collapse.
God help us All if the Chinese becomes the "New Boss" and takes over the "Offices" that the USA will evacuate soon.
The Chinese will force everyone to eat "Fried Rice" then a "Monster in the Closet" will comes out and War World III will start to destroy the Chinese.

why is everyone under the assumption that the us is sooooo far in debt to china. Last time I read up on it the us was about 800 billion in it to china. Yeah thats a lot of money but it can easily be paid off if the government chooses to make it a priority. When bill clinton came into office we were around 4 trillion in debt. By the end of his 2 terms the us was completely out of debt with a surplus. Just need to keep the republicans out of office and it will get paid off again even though 14 trillion is a different moster. Thank you very much george bush

A load of hot air being voiced here. Behind the scenes a deal will be done between China and the Philippine government. The Philippines will save face and the politicians will quietly pocket a few million dollars and everyone is happy. Filipinas will be shipped to Spratley Islands to feed the mens stomachs and dicks and send their money home so the politicians will feel they have done something to help the population.

Exactly, the US must not intervene the disputes between the China and the Philippines and the rest of Asian countries who's claiming over the Spratlys islands. Let the whole Asian countries solve their own problem diplomatically not physically. Well, China is a super power now, China control the whole perimeter in Asia, let them be. If war broke out, they are not going to target Philippines but USA. Because China knows Philippines can't fight. Speaking of over trillion dollar debt to China . they can't or can dump their bonds of the US because they know, US dollar to them is just phony. Doesn't have any integrity and value anymore.

The Philippines at one time had a standing Mutual Defense Treaty with the US.
No longer they are on their own if they want to stop China from taking the Spratly Islands. Poor
