We all know it is relatively safe in the Philippines for Americans, but are the Americans safe from Filipino burgers!

The fish fillet seems to match that in the states in wholesomeness but the beef burgers here is different in texture as the beef burgers here seems to be fresh grounded local beef, it crumbles inside the bun. I prefer eating chicken as it has less fat and calories.

HEHEHE....One of the best burgers I have ever tried here (U.S.) is Ruby Tuesday (they were touted originally as upscale burger place), In 'n' Out Burgers, Culver's (their butter burgers and fish sandwiches are to die for), Whattaburger, and some burgers served at Chinese restaurants.

How safe is the Philippines for tourists? Just stay away from places like this. You don't need them. You can find everything you need everywhere.

Tommie, actually the best burgers are the one's you cook at home, with a charcoal grill. Currently here in the states, Burger King has double cheeseburgers and whopper Jr's for a dollar each, almost impossible to resist....lol....

The burgers may be are good at home,(which one?) but you bleu ass you need to explain us what your ties with the Philippines are. You are all over the Philippines forums, I haven't noticed any knowledge about the culture and, even less the country. so tell us why you are here?

Must say that your language is not very cultured. Are you really French? One should not soiled others on these pages.

Faut dire que votre langue n'est pas très cultivé.Êtes-vous vraiment français? Il ne faut pas souillés d'autres sur ces pages.

Thx.

There are a lot of negative comments about the women from the Philppines on this board, I have to say I have never been to the Philippines, but I live in Alaska and I have met a number of Philippine women and they seem very nice....

I like Burger King too, better than Mickey D's. But the ones mentioned by Tommie are really soooo much better, even better than the one I make at home...hehe.

As someone who’s been here all my life, the Philippines is a very tourist friendly country. In the past, the peace and order situation is quite fragile but presently it is more stable with the exception of Mindanao. Anywhere else, it is pretty safe for any tourist or an American for that matter to visit tourists spots. We love Americans not because of their money but because Filipinos are very familiar with the Americans more than any other foreigners. If your worry is about the idea that Americans are hated because of the Iraq invasion, well it is fairly non-existent in the Philippines. And as far as I can remember racism has never been an issue with us.
Well you make me feel safer about going myself. I am going in the summer. Just me, girl, never been out of the usa, paranoid, lol I'll be going to Davao City, do you have any advice?

The nationality of the tourist doesn't really affect your safety levels. All tourists are ripped off equally!
Having said that, often times tourists will be perceived to be American whatever their nationality is, just because they are white.'Hey, Joe"!!!

Green,

Keep the paranoia to a minimum! LOL You will be fine. Just keep alert, not paranoid. Stick to common tourist destinations, leave your valuables in a hotel safe. Bring only the money with you, you
will need for the day. Only bring a copy of your passport for ID.
If your senses tell you, you shouldn't be there, trust them and go somewhere else. The Philippines is like anywhere else in the world, you are not completely safe everywhere.

Spread your wealth around to the people you come into contact with.
Last checked, exchange was about 47:1! Be polite. Observe the customs. Have patience.

You are going to have the adventure of a lifetime, and make lifelong friends, with memories that will haunt you, until you can return again.

Have a safe and wonderful adventure.

Green, your biggest problem is going to be getting on the plane back to the States and the month or so after you get back when you'll be going through serious "withdrawl" pains. LOL. Trust me, you'll remember me telling you this.

Daily Horoscope for March 22

Aries

The shining Sun in Aries opposes serious Saturn in your seventh house of significant others today, Rams. This house aids your partners, but also puts pressure on you from competitors. And with the Moon battling Jupiter in your house of secrets, it's likely to be a long day. One in which the Powers that Be are likely to be rather uncooperative.
