My uncle Dennis just died from an accidental overdose of pills and alcohol. I am still in shock, I cannot believe he is gone. I loved him a lot, and I am really going to miss him.
Here is a video that I shot a while back of my uncle Dennis just goofing around. Link: http://tinyurl.com/7kg6fso I still cannot believe that he is gone. I am going to really miss him. Please always let your loved ones know that you love them, and always be there for your loved ones. He died peacefully while sleeping on my sofa here in my apartment, and he did not die alone, he died here with me knowing that he was loved. I am grateful that I was able to have him in my life. All of the best, Tony V. |

I will post this again for John in the Philippines who was interested in truck driving jobs in the USA, and I will also post this for anyone else whom it might help...
Hi John, Here is a link for the Teamsters website, where you are welcome to talk with the Teamsters about truck driving jobs and about joining the Teamsters union here in the USA. Link: http://www.teamster.net/ Also, the Filipinos here in the USA help other Filipinos, if you know any Filipinos in America then they will help you. Also, there are a million Filipinos here in Southern California, mostly in Los Angeles and also in Orange County. And many Filipinos live in Filipino Town in Los Angeles. And here is some advice from Angelita Albano Castro-Kelly, who works for NASA, for Filipinos who come to the USA on how to achieve the American Dream, it is wonderful advice... ---- Kelly has this advice for Filipinos who want to achieve the American Dream. "Get a good education, stay true to the Filipino values (God, family, honesty, hard work), be flexible (one door leads to another door), and never forget to pray! Prayer, hard work, and determination ("can do" attitude) will help you achieve success. Take God with you whatever you do and wherever you go. Trust in Him--He will guide you to places you have not even dreamt about today," shared Angie Kelly, who through God’s help, was even able to conquer outer space. The USA, the Philippines, and the world, must come from a place of abundance.
In leadership training they told me to always come from a place of abundance, as opposed to scarcity. We can easily grow enough food to feed everyone on earth if we come from a place of abundance, as opposed to letting them starve as we come from a place of scarcity. And sometimes the way to improve things is to think big, even when times are hard and we are tempted to say that we cannot because of poverty. We can live in a world of abundance, and unlimited opportunity, or we can live in a world of scarcity where it just continues to get worse. And with leaders, say for a company, they want people who will make the company grow and prosper, not people who will keep downsizing it until it does not exist anymore. People want leaders who improve things, not make things worse. With the bad economy, and with the giant debt of the United States, it would be so easy for everyone to downsize everything out of existence, which would only make things worse, at a time when we need to do the opposite and grow and prosper and improve things instead. A great depression is as much a state of mind as it is a reality, we cannot fall into that state of mind and we must avoid that reality. We must come from a world of abundance and unlimited opportunity, and grow and prosper, and improve things, we must be creative in good ways and we must think big, and every problem creates an opportunity for people to solve the problems, and where there is room for improvement there is opportunity for people to improve things, etc etc etc. I read that fewer people are willing to get student loans because they are afraid they will not be able to pay them off, and they are afraid to accrue the debt for an education, and that is totally the wrong way for them to be thinking right now, and at this time the USA needs to have a better educated and better trained population, and there will be plenty of opportunity for good educated people to solve problems and improve things after they receive an education. In my opinion the people of the United States need to enter college at higher numbers, not lower. Things are not going to get better if we have a lesser educated population, that is going in the wrong direction, we need a higher educated population instead. So we need to get them thinking from a place of abundance, so that we can achieve abundance, and a better economy and a better world. And the whole thing with the debt of the United States could be solved if we come from a place of abundance. Much of the land of the United States is government owned land, we are talking abundance, and that land could be sold to private people, and that alone would pay off much of the government debt. The government can also make money with gas and oil leases at a time when gas and oil are at all time high prices, and drilling for natural gas and oil in the USA would be a good thing for many reasons. And that would help reduce the debt. Also, gold is at an all time high price right now, and there is gold on much of the government owned land, along with other precious metals. And that would help reduce the debt. If we come from a place of abundance then we can reduce the debt easily. Then, we monitor the spending of the government better in the future so that we can pass down surpluses to future generations instead of deficits. Salute, Tony V. And here are a couple of nice quotes... "Do not worry that you do not have wealth, love, or high office, but instead spend your time making yourself worthy of wealth, love, and high office." - Confucius "And then he has won, through his fantasy he has achieved that which before he had only in fantasy; wealth, honor, and the love of women." - Sanford Meisner (Who snagged it from Freud.) |

Here are some thoughts on being in tune...
When I was in a psychology class in college we did an exercise where we had to fill out a survey about ourselves, and then we had to have other people fill out the survey about us, and the goal was to see if how we viewed ourselves matched how other people viewed us, with the overall goal being to work to become more genuine and true and to make how we viewed ourselves congruent with how other people viewed us. It was a good exercise. Sometimes we get out of tune within ourselves, especially if we are depressed, and develop low self esteem, and sometimes we feel horrible about ourselves, while other people love us and think that we are great, and in that case we need to work to feel better about ourselves to match how others view us. Sometimes we feel great about ourselves, while others do not feel great about us, and in that case we need to work on ways of conveying better to other people who we genuinely are, we need to make our actions in tune with who we genuinely are, we need to say and do things that are true to who we genuinely are, and we need to get the way that people view us to match the way that we view ourselves. In order for us to be truly happy, we need to have our thoughts, feelings, and behavior, congruent, otherwise we develop cognitive dissonance, and when we are in tune the way that we view ourselves will match the way that others view us. If people do not view you the same way that you view yourself then you are out of tune, and it is an indicator that your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, are not congruent, and by working to fix that you can get in tune, and you will be happier, and you will have a better life. Many apartment complexes here in Orange County, California, now have Starbucks coffee shops located in the complexes for the residents, along with a gym, and club house, etc etc etc, and a few other things which should be added to make them even better complexes would be fully stocked libraries in the complexes where the residents can check out books, video stores in the complexes where the residents can rent a movie, and also fully stocked wine cellars at the complexes where the residents can buy a bottle of wine to go with dinner.
Just a thought. Salute, Tony V. |

One thing that Alexis de Tocqueville loved about America was that people could leave their old lives behind and could start fresh in America, no matter how they lived in Europe, whether they were poor, or in prison, or whatever, they could redeem themselves and could start fresh in America without anyone even knowing their past, their past no longer mattered and it became all about what they did in their new life in America, they could rise and could be respected and could have a good new life. And that coincides with what the Bible says in Proverbs pertaining when you become a Christian and leave your old life behind and begin your new life as a Christian.
In Proverbs it says to confess to God, and to ask forgiveness, and to repent, and to change your behavior and to never commit those sins again, and it says to keep it between you and God, and it says that you should not tell other people about the sins of your past, as God wants you to be a good and beautiful person as a Christian and God wants other people to see you and to want to be like you, God wants to bless you, God wants you to be a shining example, and God does not want people to forever hold the sins of your past against you, God wants to redeem you and wants you to have a good new life as a Christian. In Proverbs it says that the evil people are always looking for ways to make you look bad as a Christian, they want to tear you down and throw mud on you, they do not want you to be reborn and beautiful, so Proverbs says to keep your mouth shut about the sins of your past, and do not give the evil people anything that they can use against you. Many people came to America from Europe and started fresh, and Alexis de Tocqueville loved that about America, they kept their mouths shut about their past, and they started good new lives. America was a land of redemption, and Alexis de Tocqueville loved that. And it fully goes along with what the Bible says. Tout les meilleur, Tony V. |

Here are some thoughts on being happy, and being successful...
--------- A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne Creator of The Secret From The Secret Daily Teachings: If you have "needing money" in your vibration, then you will keep attracting needing money. You have to find a way of being happy NOW, feeling good NOW, and being in joy NOW, without the money, because those great feelings are how you will feel with the money. Money doesn't bring happiness - but happiness brings money. May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne The Secret and The Power... bringing joy to billions ------- And the way to go from depression to joy is by helping others, you have to get outside of yourself and focus on helping others, such as by helping orphans, and joy attracts success. As a friend sent me in an email: "Biblically speaking, depression is the deepest form of self centeredness and the only real cure is to go outside of yourself and do something for someone else. That will clear the head and inspire the soul. Of course medication can cover it up, but I like to think of medication as more for recreation. Many may disagree, but it has worked extremely well for me over the years when I felt like I wanted to die and have just had it with the daily struggles to make ends meet." The way to true joy is by helping others, and joy attracts success. Salute, Tony V. |

Someone on the Ted Nugent site posted this, and it made me laugh, so I figured that I would share it...
---------- The liberals are asking us to give Obama time. We agree...and think 25 to life would be appropriate. --Jay Leno America needs Obama-care like Nancy Pelosi needs a Halloween mask. --Jay Leno Q: Have you heard about McDonald's' new Obama Value Meal? A: Order anything you like and the guy behind you has to pay for it. --Conan O'Brien Q: What does Barack Obama call lunch with a convicted felon? A: A fund raiser. --Jay Leno Q: What's the difference between Obama's cabinet and a penitentiary? A: One is filled with tax evaders, blackmailers, and threats to society. The other is for housing prisoners. --David Letterman Q: If Nancy Pelosi and Obama were on a boat in the middle of the ocean and it started to sink, who would be saved? A: America! --Jimmy Fallon Q: What's the difference between Obama and his dog, Bo? A: Bo has papers. --Jimmy Kimmel Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program? A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road. --David Letterman Solution to the problem in Libya : They want a new Muslim leader. Give them ours. I'm sure this will land me on the new FBI list, oh well... |

I just returned from a doctor's appointment with my doctor, he is from the Philippines and he is the best doctor I have ever had. His wife is also a doctor. They just came back here to Anaheim after spending time in the Philippines, they were in the Phiippines giving free medical care to the poor people in the Philippines. He commented about how sad the poverty is in the Philippines, but I reminded him that many Filipinos become very wealthy here in the USA, and some of my dearest friends from the Philippines are very wealthy. Also, many Filipinos here do charity work, and many good Filipinos help the homeless here and stuff, many Filipinos do many good things here in the USA. And the successful Filipinos here in the USA can help the Filipinos of the Philippines utilizing teamwork, and hopefully soon things will improve in the Philippines.

On the issue of cigarette smoking bans in Los Angeles, and on the issue of high taxes on cigarettes in Los Angeles...
Here is a video that someone made about smokers, and the rights of the property owner to decide if people can smoke on their property, and it talks about how smoking bans are an attack on freedom... http://youtu.be/nwIUfLttd0A I am against the smoking bans in Los Angeles, and I am also against the high taxes on cigarettes in Los Angeles. And I do see it as an attack on our freedoms by the nanny state. When I was at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 I could buy cigarettes for the equivalent of one dollar per pack because they did not have the high taxes on cigarettes there, and there were ashtrays in the arm-rests of the seats in the famous movie theatre there and you could smoke in the movie theatre. Some idiot from Los Angeles told me to put out my cigarette while I was smoking in the movie theatre there, and I told him that we were in France, and that we were not in Los Angeles, and I told him to stop trying to ruin France like assholes ruined Los Angeles, and I finished enjoying my cigarette. Fk him. Some people talk about how bad France is, but France was way better than Los Angeles on the issue of freedom for smokers, and the greedy polticians were not allowed to raise the taxes on cigarettes to ridiculous levels in France like in Los Angeles. In a lot of ways France is way better than Los Angeles. I love France. Hopefully the freedom for smokers has not changed in France. And when I was in Italy in 2003 cigarettes cost the equivalent of around one doller per pack, and you could smoke wherever you wanted, Italy too was way better than Los Angeles on the issue of freedom for smokers and also on the issue of taxes on cigs. But since then Italy has started doing some smoking bans, I hope they do not ruin Italy the same way that people have been allowed to ruin Los Angeles. Italy is awesome. And I tried to help fight against the smoking bans and high taxes on cigs in Los Angeles, but they took freedoms away and raised taxes anyway. I know of a few restaurants and bars in Los Angeles county that do civil disobediance and allow smoking in their establishments, as they rightfully should be allowed to do, but they are rare. And it is just getting worse and worse in California, some cities do not allow public outdoor smoking within their city limits, and smoking is even banned outdoors at many beaches, it is ridiculous. And New York is even worse. Americans claim to love freedom, but they certainly do not show it when it comes to the issue of smoking. Meanwhile, I smoke wherever I want that is outdoors, and I risk getting a ticket in some areas, but I do it anyway, and I love the bars and restaurants that defy the bans. There is no way around paying the high taxes on cigarettes, unless you buy cigarettes from someone who smuggles them into California from Mexico, which many people do, you can buy the Mexican cigarettes for half the price of cigs sold in California. Anyhow, California sucks on the issue of freedom for smokers, and on the issue of taxes on cigs. Salute, Tony V. |

Judged: 1 It would be a hoot if the government could bring in some incentives for these transportation companies such as subsidized the costs of wages etc. It's bullocks that they are not encouraging people to do these kinds of jobs anymore, as more prefer to do more university-degree career work. |
