why philippines weak in military??

compare neighboree in SEA like my country have many squadron aircraft like sukhoi27/30,f-16,hawk100/200
but my country is also weak compare other big country(us,russia,china,india) but my special forces is the best in SEA,malaysian n philiphines claim spartly island n maybe can war between two country but phil dont have capable militarry to counther other nation in SEA

Philippine military is weak
because the allocation of budget is less than 1%
compared to other SEA nation that put its fund
into 3% or 4% like Vietnam or Singapore
that can afford to decently fly some F-16 or Su-27

2nd is that.. there is no conscription
Most Filipino males do not want to join the military
why? because its a burden.. most Filipinos dont want additional year like military service that would delay. and that can mean more corruption.

3rd is that.. If Philippine Military will be modernized the war in Mindanao will end fast
many war lords Corrupt officals dont want that
longer war.. more money.. more money more power
more power more subject and respect.

Now the question.. what will the corrupt officials
do.. if Philippines was attacked?

Ever since the Philippines gained independence from America in 1946, things went down into the sh!ts. The situation in the Philippines is similar to those in Malaysia and Indonesia where their new governments were only young and did not have the experience in handling their own country. Inexperienced practices allowed corruption to easily creep in and were not monitored very well. Plus with the practice of nepotism and favoritism has always been a problem. If Filipinos learn to decrease the nepotism/favoritism, then things will lighten up a bit.
