The matter is very good for the Church of Christ or Iglesia Ni Cristo because the discerning tourists will be able to find out the causes of why Roman Catholic chapels have banyan trees, lichens, ferns, mosses, termites, rats, and others!!! They will be able to discover that pieces of wood made into graven images cannot defend against termites and thus, the miracle advertisements are notning but falsities!!!

Afterwhich, they will have this kind of observation on the true Church of Christ [Iglesia Ni Cristo] as depicted in the statement of a neutral observer from the United States of America in relation to the 'distinctive and imposing chapels plus the dynamism of the last work of salvation:

" ... the INC each year dedicates approximately 100 church buildings that bristle with magnificent spires, feature concrete soaring arches, are painted in distinctive pastel colors, and display high standards of maintenance. Enclosed by imposing fences and carefully manicured grounds, each church dominate the local skyline. The imposing sacred structures of this dynamic religion have thus imprinted both urban and rural landscapes of the Philippines."

Who is the Unknown God who actually drove the believers of the spurious Holy Trinty despite of their formidable power, a whole armada of ships with guns and canons??? The Bible speaks, thus:

"Sing a new song to the LORD! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands." (Isaiah 42:10, New Living Translation]

The Unknown God is the Lord who will be worshipped, as stated in the biblical prophecy, by the inhabitants of the distant coastlands or far islands at the ends of the earth or in these last days!!!

Where is the location of these distant coastlands or far islands whose inhabitants will be worshipping the Lord God [singular] in the time frame "ends of the earth"??? The Scriptures speak, thus:

"From the far East will I bring your offspring, and from the far west I will gather you." [Isaiah 43:5, Moffatt Version]

The location of these distant coastlands or far islands is the Far East but which country??? A Jesuit scholar Horacio de la Costa says of the Philippines:

"It cannot be without significance that the country which stands almost at the geographical center of the Far East, the Philippines, should also be that which Christianity has taken the deepest root." [Asia and the Philippines, p.169]

Isaiah's prophecy also ascertained where the Iglesia Ni Cristo would reach when it would embark on its foreign mission and the manner by which God would make this come to pass!!! The true Church of Christ would reach the Far West after having gained stature in the Far East!!! Which is the Far West that is being referred to??? The World Almanac clarifies the term "Far West" in the following manner:

"Far West: California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii..." [The World Almanac and Book of facts, 1976, p.88]

The salvific movement in these last days which is the true Church of Christ [Iglesia Ni Cristo] started from the Far East in 1914 and then would move to the Far West in 1968:

"Do not be afraid--I am with you!'From the distant east and farthest west I will bring your people home'." [Isaiah 43:5, Today's English Version]

The Iglesia Ni Cristo came to Hawaii and California in 1968!!! The first worship service of the Church was done at the island of Oahu!!! The name of the island comes from the Hawaiian dialect which means "gathering place"!!! God's prohecy that His children will be gathered in the "Far West" therefore came to fulfillment!!!

Since tourists would be inquiring about the religious composition of the citizens of the Philippines, it is therefore proper to give them ideas about it!!! What then is the true Church of Christ [Iglesia Ni Cristo] according to the Bible and history??? A Roman Catholic priest has this to say:

"5. Did Jesus Christ establish a Church? Yes, from all history, both secular and profane, as well as from the Bible considered as a human document, we learn that Jesus Christ established a Church, which from the earliest times has been called after Him the Christian Church or the Church of Christ."

Reference:[Cassilly, Francis B., S.J. Religion: Doctrine and Practice. For Use in Catholic High Schools pp. 442-443. Twelfth and Revised Edition. USA: Loyola University Press, 1926]

As stated in the reference presented, the Church of Christ or Iglesia Ni Cristo is the Church established by our Lord Jesus Christ as supported by the Bible which is considered as a human document!!! It is also the Church mnetioned by history, both secular and profane, as the Church founded by Christ!!!

The Roman Catholic Church is the majority religion in the Philippines but what is the origin of the name "Catholic"???

Where did the name Roman Catholic Apostolic Church
originate? How did it come into existence? Who formulated it? Is it found in the Bible? These are but some questions which will aid any truth seeker such as the discerning tourists who would be coming to Cebu and the rest of the Philippines in determining whether he should stay in, be proud of it, or leave the Catholic Church.

From the book, Discourses on the Apostles' Creed, written by a Catholic priest, Clement H. Crock, we are told thus:

"In 1870, at the Vatican Council, the name 'Roman Catholic Church' was proposed, but it was rejected. The bishops assembled unanimously decided upon this official name:'The Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church,' as descriptive of Christ's Church."

This short quotation from a Catholic book amply answers the questions as to the origin of the official name of the Roman Church.

By contrast, Jesuit author Francis B. Cassily wrote in his book, Religion: Doctrine and Practice, on pages 442-443:

"5. Did Jesus Christ establish a Church? Yes, from all history, both secular and profane, as well as from the Bible considered as a human document, we learn that Jesus Christ established a Church, which from the earliest times has been called after Him the Christian Church or the Church of Christ."

Here is a priest who openly taught in question-and-answer form that the Church established by Christ is called the Church of Christ . Understandably, Mr, Cassily could not have stated otherwise, because he used the Bible as his reference.

Does the Bible indeed teach about the Church built by Christ and how it was called by the Apostles? In Matthew 16:18, our Lord Jesus Christ declared in no uncertain terms: "I will build my Church."
Anyway, the Apostles called the Church built by Chrsit as the Church of Christ [Iglesia Ni Cristo][Romans 16:16; Acts 20:28, Lamsa]. How then should there be people who should change it? How should people then discard the name of Christ from His Church and replace it with another? Could the name of Christ be ignored and changed with another? How significant is the name of Christ? The Bible authoritatively stated in Acts 4:10, 12 that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

On the basis of name alone, Catholics who are interested in the welfare of their souls should not hesitate to abandon the Catholic Church.

'The Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church' therefore is not the religion or Church established by Christ in the first century based on the evidence presented by two Roman Catholic priests, Francis B. Cassily and Clement H. Crock!!!

Iglesia Kato Y' K.Y.J. Eli,

Yes, we can prove!!! Here's the verse:

"And I saw another messenger going up from the rising of the sun, having a seal of the living God, and he did cry with a great voice to the four messengers, to whom it was given to injure the land and the sea, saying,'Do not injure the land nor the sea, nor the trees, till we may seal the servants of our God upon their foreheads." (Revelation 7:2-3, Young's Literal Translation)

What have you noticed in the translation??? That the long denied fact by the false religions of Roman Catholicism and Protestantism that Brother Felix Y. Manalo is God's messenger or angel in these last days are now exposed as vain false arguments!!! The Iglesia Ni Cristo is the Winner, the phenomenon, and the force to be reckoned with!!!

What should be brought to mind by discerning tourists who would visit Cebu and the rest of the Philippines whenever they see Roman Catholic chapels and other edifices owned by her??? Their outright admission that this false religion does not adhere to primitive or first-century Christianity:

Roman Catholic authorities themselves readily acknowledge that your cult is not similar to the Church of Christ or Christianity that was established by our Lord Jesus in the first century:

"We Catholics acknowledge readily, without any shame, nay with pride, that Catholicism cannot be identified simply and wholly with primitive Christianity, nor even with the Gospel of Christ, in the same way that the great oak cannot be identified with the tiny acorn."

Iglesia seeks TRO vs publication of ‘blasphemous’ book
source link
By Perseus Echeminada (The Philippine Star)
Leaders of the Iglesia ni Cristo are seeking to stop the publication of a book which they claim contains “outright blasphemy” towards the religious sect’s late founder Felix Manalo by likening the INC to a criminal syndicate.
In asking for a temporary restraining order, INC lawyer Abraham Espejo told Judge Ofelia Marquez of Quezon City regional trial court Branch 216 that the 186-page book,“Power and the Glory: The Cult of Manalo,” by Baguio-based writer Ross Tipon is a direct assault on freedom of religion and seeks to destroy the image of the INC.
“The publication of the criminal manuscript will trigger social unrest,” he said.“Millions of people may come out in the streets and this may lead to violence.”
The book contains allegations based on hearsay and insinuations against the INC that could trigger protest among millions of church members nationwide, he added.
However, Tipon, represented by lawyer Fervyn Pinzon, said stopping the book’s publication would violate his constitutionally protected right to freedom of expression.
“It’s a violation of the constitutional rights on the freedom of expression,” he said.
The book must be judged in its totality, not on a piecemeal basis, he added.
Tipon, who described himself as a freelance writer and free thinker, told The STAR after the hearing that the INC was trying to stop the publication of a manuscript that had not yet been published.
“I am invoking my freedom of expression,” he said.
Tipon said “Power and the Glory: The Cult of Manalo” was a product of painstaking research, and that the allegations raised by INC lawyers were based on speculation and hearsay.
“We will print thousands of copies of the book depending on the demand,” he said.
He was surprised that the INC got hold of copies of his manuscript which were scheduled to be submitted to a publisher for printing, Tipon said.
The INC is seeking P1 million in damages from Tipon and the book’s publisher, which had not been identified.

... all our readers to inquire about our faith, please read....

To begin with, the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ) is an independent Christian religion whose primary purpose is to serve and worship the Almighty God. Registered with the Philippine government on July 27, 1914, this Church, which propagates the true Christian faith, is now ardently embraced by millions of people in 94 countries and territories in the six inhabited continents of the world. Its membership, to date, comprises 109 nationalities as it oversees about 5,400 congregations and missions. It also maintains the United States Main Office (USMO) in Daly City, California and the Europe Main Office (EuMO) in London, England. Recently, the Church inaugurated new district office buildings in Washington, DC (Northeastern Seaboard District Office); Toronto, Canada (Eastern Canada District Office); and Tokyo, Japan (North East Asia District Office). Through these and more than hundred other ecclesiastical district offices, the Church supervises its congregations and missions around the world.

Known also for being active in community services, outreach programs, and projects concerning health, environment, cleanliness, and beautification, the Church has been a recipient of numerous awards and recognitions such as the Santa Clara Country Parks Department Director's Award (California), the Hong Kong Red Cross Annual Donor Award, London in Bloom Certificate of Excellence, Queens Chamber of Commerce Building Awards (New York), London Best Blooming Public Building Awards, etc. Appreciating its "selfless community deeds and exemplary humanitarian concerns," the City Council of Daly City, California even proclaimed a week in the month of July as "Church of Christ Week".

Contrary to the allegation that its doctrines are "unbiblical", the Iglesia ni Cristo faithfully adheres to the teachings of the Holy Scriptures as the sole basis of its faith and practice. For instance, it believes in the biblical teachings that the Father, the Creator, is the only true God (John 17:3, 1; I Cor. 8:6); that Christ, the appointed Savior, established the Church of Christ for the salvation of mankind (Acts 5:31; Matt. 16:18; Acts 20:28, Lamsa Translation; Eph. 5:23, 25); that baptism into this Church is necessary for salvation (Mark 16:15-16; I Cor. 12:13; Col. 1:18); that the ones authorized to preach the gospel are the messengers of God (Rom. 10:15); and that congregational worship services, which are for the spiritual welfare of the members, should not be forsaken (Heb. 10:25-27).

On morality and holiness, the Church regards God's words written in the Bible as a way of life. It regards marriage as sacred and inviolable (Matt. 19:4-6) and promotes stability of family, Christian parenting, and proper love of children. It helps maintain peace and order in the society by teaching submission to the duly constituted government and obedience to laws (Titus 3:1; I Pet. 2:13) as long as they do not contradict God's will.

For people to have a well-informed judgment on our religion which requires substantial knowledge about the biblical tenets and practices we uphold, we do whole-heartedly invite everyone to attend our Bible studies and worship services. Do feel free to contact our brethren and visit our houses of worship near your place.
