I think the ugly finger of political correctness running amuck here in the States is about to insert into the lady Philippines' slit if it isn't already there.

There's this habit of politicians wanting to please some sectors. We have too many holidays already.

Have you heard of Mindanao State University? It observes both Christian and Muslim holidays so that students keep expecting one holiday after another.

And so they graduate with many holidays peppering their attendance records.

Since when have holidays been an avenue of politicians for pleasing sectoral groups? Gloria Arroyo is much known for doing this thing - for the Muslims and the Iglesia ni Cristo especially.

the funny thing about these "holidays " is that they are only observed by schools and govt depts .the common man still goes to work -no work -no pay.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
