I was born in Baybay. I love this small serene town and could not wait to go back and see my family. My father's family (Roca) are from Dungcaan and my mother's family (Butalid) are from the M.L Quezon street I think. It has been a while so I am trying to recall what I remember.

My first visit was in 2003 and the last time was in 2008. I am planning on coming home this year so my husband could see what a beautiful place Baybay is.

I loved the "tabo" and "bbq" at the PANTALAN (pier). I like the market as it is so sureal, we don't have this in Canada.

How I miss this town; hopefully the weather will be just as good since I last experience.

ciao, M

Hi, Just returned from another six month stay in BayBay. People are great! Starting to build that Mall...Tearing down the place as I was getting ready to leave. I was staying in Kilim & noticed on a couple of occasions, that the NPA is very active in this area!! Anyone care to comment? What was told to me,was, just be quiet! Feel sorry for the locals....

Any answers or remedys for the situation in BayBay? It's a great town! Try to keep it that way! The Gays are a force within the NPA & spreading out on the outskirts of BayBay,Proper! Where is Jun Marquez? He gave me some very good info.,a couple of years back! FIX BAYBAY!!!

I'd like to call the attention of my fellow baybayanons looking for greener pasture to set your focus in Australia. Australia's economy is in full capacity, and with the on going resources boom the country is desperate for skilled migrants and professionals. People out there who has the qualifications, skills and experience should consider applying jobs in Australia.
Guys try access the australian immigration and it's embassy and look for the complete lists of job on offer.Or alternatively, through the internet you can send your applications on line with australian companies. oi danny hi! taga asa kau sa mahaplag?
Now I did my bit, now is your turn to flex those muscles and work your way in and reap the rewards once your in.

Hi Joe,

Just got back from Baybay on the weekend, been there for a month's holiday.I was there during the election and was very peaceful except some people went home witout voting as they could not wait for their turn to vote due to the teething problems of the new voting system. As far as improvement or non improvement is concerned the only thing I see is the empty shell of the supposed Prince Mall while the Prince owners has been slugging the locators
of the mini markets with exhorbitant rentals that Prince build for the relocation of the stall owners. As usual the Potpots are a menace as they don't attempt to follow basic road rules if there's any. They are just like wounded bulls like going againts the flow of traffic on a supposed one way street and overtaking on a narrow street with a car going againts them. I know they are just trying to make a living but for sanity sake try to educate them before giving them permits.

Hi Jun,Glad you had a good trip! I kind of got used to the Potpot drivers. Election time was something. Before we left,Manny Villar made a stop there! What an entourage! I walked 6 days a week from Kilim to the wet market & made quite a few friends. People were very friendly!Went to quite a few Cockfights too! Great atmosphere!Missing the fresh Seafood already! What to do about the NPA? They don't help the people at all! They only put fear in them. Any suggestions? Nice to hear from you!
