Where is Mania Jr. now? I am back in the States for a couple weeks and anxious to have you tell me personally how tough you are. Bring a change of pants, piss boy.

Michael Vick was reinstated today.

I have never seen dog served anywhere in the RP, but wouldn't fault the poor from indulging. I saw dog being served in Hanoi last month. They claim it brings good luck.

Ralexa is still a confused troll who never set foot in the RP, just like Maniac, Jr. TFF!

You have to realize that stray dogs are simply not important to these people. They don't care about them any more than the chickens scratching in the yard. They are not friendly pets, they are just scavengers.
How do you intend to persuade them that a dog is more "special" than a goat?

Dear Mayor Bautista
I am writing you to urge you to please act to bring an end to the illegal saleof dog meat in your city. The consumption of dogmeat was banned in the Philippoines in 1998. I understand that despite this, many restaurants and vendors in Baguio city continue to see this illegal product. Please enforce the existing law by cracking down on any restaurant or vendor selling dogmeat.
Thank you

It's amazing that people who HAVE NEVER BEEN in the Philippines are protesting the treatment of dogs here. Once again, I have never seen a dog being served - I have lived in the Philippines for five years and travelled extensively throughout the islands. Yet, I would not begrudge someone here from doing it. WHen you live on less than a dollar a day and have to scrounge for food for your family, protein takes many forms. The arrogance of some who have never had to worry about going hungry is astounding.

Shut the f-ck up.

The Philippines is a tropical country. there is an abundance of fruit and vegetables there.
http://www.hsus.org/hsi/confronting_cruelty/p...

Last year, a dog named Brown-Brown was rescued from a truck bound for Benguet's dog slaughterhouses during an HSI-led seizure. Brown-Brown immediately captured the attention of his rescuers, and despite the horrific ordeal he had just experienced, displayed a friendly and docile nature which made him an ideal candidate for adoption.

You Can Help
Write to the mayor of Baguio City, a notorious hotspot for dog meat.
Make a donation to support HSI's efforts to end this cruel trade for good.
The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, an HSI Animal Advocate, placed Brown-Brown at the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center to recover. He found a permanent home shortly after with Rhea Oropilla, a preschool teacher and PAWS volunteer. Renamed Adonis, he became a certified therapy dog and joined PAWS' Dr. Dog program.
The people from the Philippines WANT this to stop for the people and the animals. It is illegal

I couldn't agree more. All this fuss over a few stray mutts. Unbelievable. What about the thousands of kids without enough food to eat? all these sanctimonious fanatics can talk about is 'save the dogs'!
Why on earth shouldn't people be able to eat dog meat if they can eat pig, chicken, cows, goats etc. Its all the same. Meat is meat.

It doesn't come for free. People living in remote or mountainous regions take what they can get to suppliment their diets.
Who are you to tell them what meat they can eat?
You who never have to worry where your next meal is coming from...

key word is most which means "some". I have some Asian friends that are animal welfare activists. The stereotype is very hurtful. But you see this guy brings up the threads because basically he wants the world to hate them.LOL

I have no problem with the actual eating of the dogs meat which is just that meat. Its the manner in which it is killed and the circumstances that surround the eating that is repulsive.

To Harri and Manilamike, I have seen many people eating dogs and NONE of them had to worry about where their next meal comes from, i know because I know these people. I have a problem with brutal, obnoxious drunks no matter what they eat. It is generally this class of people who actually eat dog meat which is why I have a problem with it.

What does it matter what kind of meat they eat? Meat is meat. a dog does not feel more pain than another animal.
I would have a problem with people who steal pets from others in order to eat them.
And I believe that any animal being raised and killed for the purpose of food should be slaughtered humanely.
But i don't believe that dogs deserve better treatment than other creatures.

Darkentity, do you deny how many people live on the poverty line in the philippines? Are you suggesting only the wealthy eat dogs??

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Leo

If you look closely, you'll see a black cloud hovering over a loved one's head. They'll find the smallest excuse for losing their temper or throwing a tantrum, so tiptoe around them or try to jolly them out of their filthy mood. If the situation continues you may decide that it would be better to get the inevitable argument out of the way than to pussyfoot around them any longer.
