Off With Their Heads wrote: A round of Darwin awards for all nine! Let's see - organize a flotilla to run a naval blockade of a territory controlled by a radical terrorist group that threatens the annihilation of it's neighboring country. When boarded by Commandos - attack them! Start a fight - and when you lose - whine about how unfair it all is! "They all knew the risk," (Jane) Jewel said. "They all signed documents about what they wanted to be done with their remains should they get killed." And so - they new exactly what they were getting into!(Crocodile tears aside!) When dip**** groups like the "Free Gaza Movement" and "Fourteen Friends of Palestine" actually hold a protest of Hamas brutality, rocket attacks and killing of innocent civilians - then maybe I can believe that they actually stand for PEACE! The Free Gaza Movement is funded by three past members of the Weather underground, who are liberal, socialist, Marxists, they do not stand for peace! One for sure being a friend of O'bama.

Helen Turnbull wrote: This ship was in international waters. Except for an act of war or aggression that violates international law, what right did the Israelis have to "board" the ship at that point? And once the Israelis initiated boarding, why did the people on the ship -- probably genuinely fearful given the Israeli's record on human rights and knowledge surely of the Israeli hatred of anyone professing sympathy with the Palestinians -- not have the right to fear what might happen and defend themselves? The Israelis have said the blockade was to prevent rearmament of Gaza, and made all kinds of inflammatory statements about how the people on that ship were not "humanitarians" but activists bent on supporting Palestinian attacks on Israel, possibly carrying weapons, etc. Has there been any evidence of that since the seizure? Is there a display of armaments seized from the boarded ship? Have the Israelis trotted out specific people aboard that ship with evidence that they are fomenting violence against Israel? Israel brought any attack on its soldiers on itself when it boarded this ship in international waters. Did Israel attempt to diplomatically deal directly with the ship, with Turkey, with any country whose citizens were on it before simply boarding in what appeared to be a potentially fearsome attack? Seriously, are you for real? They told the ship they could come to the port that ALL aid ships dock at for inspection, which is routine. You bring aide, this is the drill. This ship decided to give them the middle finger to that instead. Hello? They were trying to provoke Israel. There is a war there in case you missed it, that's why there is a blockade. And when the soldiers came aboard, did they really need to attack them? Really? Did you see the video? Get out of your arse. These stupid people get what they deserve. Lesson; just go to the port for inspection next time and you won't get your arse kicked.

The same exact video claiming to show weapons captured on the Mavi Mamara can be seen on utube as early as 2007. The Mavi was traveling due south --70 miles off the coast. Further, one of the boats in the flotilla was a US flagged boat. So the second time Israel has attacked an unarmed US boat (USS Liberty 1967).
