Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am part of a team of 40 volunteers that is attempting to turn 09.09.09 into a global charity event in the internet. We are collecting stories from around the world written by normal people about their experiences on that day. The best stories will be published in a book, the proceeds of which will be donated to charity.

We believe that a global diary of this kind can help break down stereotypes about other cultures. A normal daily event in Germany may seem boring to a German, but for someone in India, it is interesting to read a "normal" story like that, which took place somewhere else on the globe.

This project was initiated by a group of students in Germany. We already have had a good amount of media coverage and lots of positive feedback here, where several hundreds of people plan to send in their personal story from 09/09/09.

We would be very thankful if your newspaper on your part of the planet would report about our project. Our idea can only succeed if as many people as possible hear about it and participate AND WE HOPE TO RECEIVE STORIES FROM PALAU. With your help, the word can be spread around the globe.
