Looks like the cops in Nelson have really nothing better to do than take note of what patches who is wearing. Get a life. Isnt there a boy racer around that the cops can assault or did they drive them all out of town. Pardon the pun ;-)

I tend to agree the Lost Breed are all locals with a long history in Nelson.

The Red Devils have the support of Hells Angels,Road Knights,Head Hunters and probably Filthy Few

The Lost Breed have the support of Epitaph riders,Southern Vikings,Satan Slaves,Sinn Fein,Outlaws,Outcasts,Lone Legion so they are not alone.

Yeah they are still going they have the Wellington Chapter and they did have another chapter a while back in Paraparaumu but not sure about that these days.

A bunch of about 14 patch members rode past me on the motorway about two months ago but don,t know if that was the whole crown.

They had there 25 anniversery in 1994 so that will make this year there 40th.

Been around awhile

This is why banning patches is wrong.

Gangs want to be identifiable. They're not trying to hide.

I've walked through whole groups of patch wearing members without a problem. Prospects are the problem, not patched members. They'll kill for a patch. Whether anyone has had to kill for a patch is another show.

But the above poster is correct that Maori gangs can't get out of the mental attitude they have to go to jail. It shouldn't be the way any more.

Where is experience, development and sophistication.

Dennis Hines spent most of his life in jail and he was the Nomad president. No one else was doing his time for him.

I just think there's something intrisically wrong when a gang's been going for thirty years and they still in the same mind set.

the Notorius president from Mangere talked of old hatreds needing to be addressed and eliminated. Be a great step forward. Unfortunately, when its been tried in the past - in Wellington between Black Power and the Mob - the Nomads interferred and stuffeid it up. I didn't know they had that influence with the Mob. How many Mob chapters are there in Wellington? And Dennis Hines could just move in and lay down the law. I heard he
de patched members too, though they were probably BP's. If anything, the gangs should have joined together and taken out the Nomads. Hines played them all against each other and got away with it.

Obviously was a genius as a judge commented on him about. and mostly because Maori gangs can't get out of their mental ruts and move ahead. Society is saying they've moved past their due date because of that.

Mongrel Mob is not so much in Wgton city but they have huge chapter in Porirua and have chapters in Petone and i think also Stokes Valley and Upper Hutt suprising what you say about Hines he sure had some pull.

Open gang warfare in this day and age brings gangs down the old 70,s 80,s mentality just won,t cut it now the laws are to strong.

The older members want to move on, but there's a schism between them and the younger ones still reaching for their glory days. Esp in the Mob I hear.

The 70's and 80's were the glory days and they can't be repeated.

Put gangs underground and they'll become covert and give hand signals like the Free masons.

They'll be there but invisible.

Which is peculiar because they never wanted that.

They don't really want to be ghosts who walk, but they may adjust to that paradigm very well in the future. It's a challenge they'll definitely take up.

But the radicals of the future will be the ones who will be persecuted. Bush said he isn't waging war against Islam, but the radicals inside it.

You can be sure that will translate to anyone deemed radical by the authorities. From Christians to gang members who live outside the system.

To be radical is to be a hater

And haters will be made examples of.
