You can thank our liberal politicians for this bloodshed spilling into America by not securing our borders and protecting special interest groups while ignoring the safety of American citizens.

That's 70 percent that should be deported ... there is no such thing as cheap tomatoes.

What?
Isn't it our drug addicts that create demand?

Maybe we stop this BS war on drugs and start treating the medical side of addiction and work on prevention.

(Oh forgot the CIA was involved in smuggling for a while, maybe still...)

Is anyone still unclear why we are in the Middle East? Maybe some of you are still unclear about who is making money on these drug activities. Tell me your not all naive about the ways of the world, please...

The U.S. is not only the biggest customer for these drugs we're also supplying the weapons to fight the drug war.

Go figure. And some people think Mexicans are stupid. Look who's holding the bag and holding us hostage in our own country.

Mexican drug cartels smuggling guns from U.S. across the border

PHOENIX As police approached a drug cartel's safe house in northwestern Mexico last May, gunmen inside poured on fire with powerful assault rifles and grenades, killing seven officers whose weapons were no match.

Four more lawmen were wounded in the bloodbath and a cache of weapons was seized, including a single AK-47 assault rifle that authorities say was purchased 800 miles away at a Phoenix gun shop and smuggled into Mexico.

The rifle's presence in Mexico underscores two realities in the government's war against drug traffickers: Nearly all the guns the cartels use are smuggled into Mexico from the U.S., and officials say a small number of corrupt American weapons dealers are making the gun running possible.

"It's a war," said Bill Newell, special agent in charge of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Arizona and New Mexico. "It's a war between the drug cartels. And it's a war between the government and the drug cartels. And the weapons of war are the weapons that they are acquiring illegally here in the United States."

Authorities don't know how many firearms are sneaked across the border, but the ATF says more than 7,700 guns sold in America were traced to Mexico last year, up from 3,300 the year before and about 2,100 in 2006. The increase is attributed both to a higher volume going south and a growing interest among Mexican authorities in running recovered weapons through a U.S. gun-tracing database.

Mexican and U.S. officials estimate the cartels get 95 percent of their guns from the United States; others are stolen when cartels overrun Mexican authorities. Cartels recruit "straw buyers" in the United States who make purchases on their behalf. Then people are paid to bring the weapons across the border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, whose inspectors scrutinize border-crossers at ports of entry, declined to characterize the frequency of its searches of vehicles driving into Mexico, but conceded that not all traffic leaving America is searched.

Inspections of vehicles coming into the United States are considered a bigger priority, because they are aimed at stopping weapons, terrorists and other dangerous elements from coming into the country. Periodic searches of outgoing traffic are done as spot checks and in response to tips of upcoming attempts to smuggle guns or cash.

"We just don't have the manpower to do 100 percent inspections of outgoing traffic," said agency spokesman Jason Ciliberti.

Federal agents say the small number of dealers who knowingly sell guns to smuggling rings have the potential to inflict a lot of damage. As evidence, they cite the Arizona gun dealer accused of selling the AK-47 recovered at the May 27 shootout in Culiacan involving the powerful Sinaloa cartel.

George Iknadosian, owner of X-Caliber Guns in Phoenix, is accused of selling guns to two groups of straw buyers when he knew the weapons were going to be smuggled into Mexico. He also was targeted in stings in which he allegedly sold guns to undercover officers posing as straw buyers.

Iknadosian is set for trial Feb. 3 on fraud and other charges. His lawyer, Thomas M. Baker of Phoenix, didn't return calls seeking comment.
Investigators believe 600 guns sold by Iknadosian ended up in Mexico, most headed to the violent Pacific Coast state of Sinaloa.....(cont.)

When it comes to our safety here or abroad we should pull out all the stops seal the borders deport all illegals open up efficient diplomatic channels for legal immigration set a quota so it can be controlled and clean house. We all know the economic burden it has become obvious Liberals ignore it and our streets become unsafe. Every morning on my way to work there are at least 100-150 illegals milling about waiting for trucks that just aren't coming any more. Now to survive what will they do turn to crime?

She lied, here are the stats of various jobs that illegals do, and the percentages cited are reflecting how much of each work force that is done by illegals:

29% are in agriculture
25% grounds maintenance
22% maids, housekeeping
25% construction
20% cooks

"...And drug smugglers kidnap illegal immigrants in clashes with human smugglers over the use of secret routes from Mexico...."

When are our 10,000 rocket scientist border guards going to discover the secret routes from Mexico?

Putting a Government bureaucracy in charge of the border guarantess nothing effective will be done. Job security is more important to them than the job. Read Parkinson's Law.

Then what we have a bunch of govt psychologists to treat the source of addiction?
Addicts are replacing something missing in their lives it is a personal choice of theirs; whatever program you put them in will not matter they want the drugs period up until the point they don't want them anymore.
The problem here is that for too long there has been an unwritten stimulus package for Mexico in the form of lax borders and lax immigration enforcement. They are multiplying out of control. Twenty years ago a friend said better learn to speak Spanish because they are taking over I laughed but who is laughing now.
We need to control our Country not giuve it away to people who do not recognize the law of the land they want to be a part of. They do not care about anything but getting that money by what ever means possible. What does it tell you about the Maxican Govt if they can be out done by criminals. Screw the war on drugs screw the war in Iraq and Afghanistan bring the troops home and clean up this mess. America For Legal Americans. Our forefathers and our legal immigrant relatives paid too high a price to see it given away now.
Seal the borders deport all illegals including Obamas auntie.

Instead of blogging why don't you spend a little more time learning how to write? How about punctuation and capitalization once in awhile?

While I agree with your post, we need to be wary of the countries who are buying into ours...China and Japan...in a few more years, and with B.O.'s blessing, we will be owned by them. Is this the scenario that we and our forefathers have worked so diligently to achieve? The sleeping sheeple, better pull themselves up by their bootstraps and start adopting some personal responsibility, and stop accepting our government's socialist welfare, and stop to take care of themselves. As long as the welfare rolls continue to burgeon, the more government will dictate how we live our daily lives...idiots who have made a living off welfare for generations are part of the problem. They blame everybody but the true reason for their pitiful lives...themselves, because of their lack of self-reliance, personal pride and perseverance.

As for self-indulgent Mexican illegals, eliminate birthright citizenship...wean them from our welfare system before they too just become another group who makes a living off welfare for the next 20 generations, blaming everybody else for their poor choices. Tax their remittances out the wazzoo...make their lives a living hell, hurt them in their pockets before they take the last bit of change out of ours.

Oh there's a way this all could be changed. Employers "needing" illegals must be required to formally report to the government who they're bringing in on visas and then that they're gone home. Put the responsilbity on the employer's back. Illegal aliens purportedly coming here to pick crops, end up on our welfare rolls one way or another. And, many use the guise of working in the fields to instead plant themself in a community to open a drop house and/or drugs. Feinstein is just another joke.

Don't blame the Mexicans, blame Fabrizi for using drugs and distributing all over town. Remember demand and production. Stop buying them and it wont be any problem. It's easy to blame the underdog for everything.

There will not be a spillover. This war will be just about over by the end of February. The rift raft is getting wiped off the face of the earth as we speak.....The New Linea and the Cartels are working together to clean this mess up .The new war will be against the Crooked Politicians in Mexico DF,.They will be prosecuted for corruption or wiped out. They must not stand in the way of deprivatization of OIL..OIL would create all the jobs and refineries needed to bring most of the illegals back to Mexico for those jobs, not to mention food and factories to produce Goods for the people in those jobs...It will be DONE>
