what do you mean the Mex. Gov. is not doing anything havent you seen the news they are overwhelmed with all this crimes they cant solved everything/
or what do you think that they are staging all this?
what that hell would they want with you, by kidnapping you. for what a few measly dollars?

if they weren't really combating the cartels and were instead helping them out they would just pretend to have no drug cartels problems and would just ignored it and denied that Mexico is in such crisis and just tell the cartels to keep it in the low so they wont call too much attention.
wouldn't that be easier and cheaper than deploying troops and spending a butt load of money

Thanks but no thanks.
I think we can agree here.
Yes TJ and other border towns are dangerous.
Just as is the 100 largest cities in the USA.
But tell me when was the last tourist murdered or kidnapped from Tepic?
Do you walk outside at night in Tepic?
I have.
Did you feel a need to carry a gun?
I did not.
I like Tepic and here next month I will be spending time there.
It is amazing what a difference a little elevation can make in temperature.

How many cities in the USA with a population over 100k would you walk around at night?
We do here in Vallarta almost nightly and we are close to 500k

My point is.
Yes Mexico has some dangerous spots.
Yes the USA has some dangerous spots.
And they both have some wonderful spots.
Both countries have

Tell my wife that……………..LOL
Try and convince her she is in more danger here than in California.
We laugh at people that spout off when they don’t have a clue.
You take that travel warning and everything the government tells you as God’s truth?
Tell that to my dead brother and over two hundred other dead enlisted men in the first desert storm that died from chemical warfare that the government said never happened.
Tell that to all the G.I. from the Viet Nam era that were doused in Agent Orange.
Tell that to all the people Obama is fleecing of their hard earned money.
If you would like I can post thousands of false information the government has said.
You might be able to understand why the government would lied about some of the things I wrote above.
But why would the government lie or blow out of proportion what is happing in Mexico?
Money my friend………..
Billions of dollars every year are coming to Mexico with the baby boomers retiring.
There is over one billion dollars in condos under construction at this moment in Puerto Vallarta.
Over 200 houses that are being built at a cost of more than 10 million dollars.
Of those houses more than 50 are costing more than 20 million dollars to build.
And 13 are more than 40 million dollars.
That is cost of construction……………….Not value.
Who is building and buying these.
99% are Americans
If the government could just stop the flow of money to Mexico and that money was spent in the USA it would it might turn around the recession the USA is going thru.
Why would these Americans be moving here in such droves?
Why are investors building as fast as they can here and stopped projects in the USA?
The big builders here are from Vegas………………..Stopped building there and started here.
Why has the price of a condo in Puerto Vallarta not dropped one penny in the last two years?
Maybe just maybe there is something you don’t know about the subject of living in Mexico………….
Apparently, your wife isn't any smarter than you.

You don't deserve to have children.

Oh great smart one……………
Have you ever been to Puerto Vallarta?
Did you stay more than one day on your cruise ship?

I did not think so………….
SO YOU ARE IGNORANT ON THE SUBJECT.

I give you facts and the only response you can come up with is school yard trash talk.

Prove me wrong………….go ahead and try it…………
YOU CANT……….. SO YOU REVERT TO TRASH TALK…………..Are you still in school………………

There are many newspapers online here in Vallarta.
Many blogs.
Tons of information.
Find something showing a crime problem here in Vallarta.
You can find crime in the news at the borders, little bit in some other resort areas but not here.
Why?
Is there some magic that blocks the news from Puerto Vallarta but not anywhere else?

Big news last week on the front of every newspaper.
Woman and child hit and killed by a car that the governor was in as they tried to beat traffic at a red light

You know nothing about me or my wife yet you talk as if you do…
Are you jealous we live in paradise as you broil in the summer and freeze solid in the winter?
Or are you just a sheepole…………..Baa Baa Baa

Do yourself a favor………….Try real hard and THINK FOR YOURSELF………………..For once in your life

Oh by the way.
I have been to Illinois many times and there is a short time in the spring and fall it is beautiful and the weather is nice.
The people are generally warm and friendly
There are little “Mayberry” towns.
I loved the mom and pop dinners……..Homemade desserts, soups and the ever present smile that the Midwest still has.
I remember a pizza place that had huge sandwiches in Itasca.
Pastrami piled high like 6 inches high covered in melted cheese on a homemade hoagie bun.
It was called something like the Guys pizza tree or Tree pizza?
Is it still open?.........My mouth is watering.
Yes I would live there…..for two months a year one in the spring and one in the fall.
Believe it or not Vallarta is very similar……………..With that friendly Midwest spirit.
But we have the weather beat hands down……………………

LOL!! No...I am not jealous. Why should I be? I can live any place that I want.

I am not saying that Mexico isn't beautiful...it is. The government is the problem...the cartel is the problem. They are ruining tourism for everyone. While I will agree that Puerta Vallarta is safer than most, vacationers should still use caution. The police are corrupt. Add a couple of drinks to the mix, and you are looking for trouble. Wasn't there a big shootout not long ago over drugs??

Generally speaking, I have nothing against Mexicans. What I do know, is that the violence is rampant, and that the cartel runs just about everything. See where gun bans get you? Nowhere. It has left the innocent people helpless.

Of course you will defend Mexico. You rely on it for your income. I know people who have a business there too. They say the police are corrupt, but they expect it, so they are not surprised...and they don't care. Which also makes me believe that THEY are corrupt. The only people getting upset, are those who abide by the law.

So do you know the pizza joint?
We stopped for gas on hwy 91 and they recommend it.
It was like two blocks from the gas station.
My wife says it is three guys pizza.
And go have one of those sandwiches for me………….
They have been on my mind all day.

First I am retired so that is not why I defend Mexico.
The reason I defend Mexico is that 99% of the stuff you here is obamma caca to stop the flow of money here.
Plain and simple most of it is BS from the kidnappings to the swine flu.

Come down and see for yourself.
That is the only way you will know.

Not often, maybe once in the last 6 months. If you live in Mexico you more then likely have bars on your windows and doors. The doors are always locked, whether your home or not and if you have a yard to speak of it is surrounded by a high wall much of the time topped by razor wire or broken glass. Why is that?

Wow sorry to hear that.
The elotes, tacos, music and people out and about.
The night life my family just loves.
Yes there are bars on the windows even the third floor.
The yard is small with a pool and five foot wall with no wire or glass.
Going from 80 acres to a small yard does take adjustment.
IF you get away from the ocean you find the big yards.
But were my house is the property is $500 TO $1,000 USD per meter

Hey Dead like me:

If Puerto Vallarta is so safe, why don't all these Mexicans seeking asylum in the US relocate there?

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/state/US_den...

Keep telling everybody how safe it is. We'll make you a poster boy for the anti-immigration people by giving the US another valid reason to deny asylum to Mexicans.

I just like to alert americans: Don't come to Tijuana, please, don´t buy our land, don´t live in our houses in front of the sea, don´t enjoy the beautiful views in Baja, don't buy houses, departments or land here, don't be happy in our country, go to US, please.
Just continue to believe that Mexico is the worst country in the world, yes, and don't see your kidnappings in East Lake in San Diego, and americans: don't stop consuming drugs in all your country.
Because you're like the center of the universe, huh?
Please leave Mexico. You know what? We don't need blind people here.

"Mexico, so close to the United States and so far from God"
Unfortunately Mexico has been so dependent on the USA for so long it would dry up and blow away without them. First the people would need to become more self reliant,or, starve. When will that happen? The greatest of Mexico's heroes once said "I would rather live on my feet then die on my knees." but bad for Mexico, the government had him killed.
The real question is, what will you do to make a difference?

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Scorpio

Let the past stay in the past for now. Even though you may have fond memories of intense experiences, the Virgo Moon sees to it that you have virtually no desire to go there again just yet. This is your opportunity to show others what you can do in a more civilised environment. Don't try to shout down someone who is rude enough to interrupt. As unlikely as it may seem, the softest voice has the biggest chance of being heard today.
