(4) CONNECT CANADA'S FOOD AID WITH FAMILY PLANNING OR PAY FOR NOT DOING SO

The world’s immigration problems are not without cause and one cause might well be the overpopulation of Mexico, Pakistan, India and other countries. Since the 1970’s, these countries have been capable of producing almost double the amount of food to support significantly more people, but the economies and job opportunities of these countries have not kept pace.

The American agronomist Norman Borlaug*, who won the Nobel Peace Prize, saved perhaps hundreds of millions of people in these and other countries from starvation with his improvements to the grain yields and farming techniques he introduced. His innovations not only saved lives but created a new world food base upon which human populations have grown ever larger.

You are invited to do your own research to determine population growth in the world and in countries from which Canada receives its immigrants. While undertaking this task, you might also note that those countries to which the world sends most of its billions in food and aid to save lives are also those with the highest average reproduction rates for females in the world.

It is truly unfortunate that in order to save lives in less fortunate countries, we inadvertently encourage populations to grow and then overflow into Canada. Equally unfortunate is the fact that those countries, which require our aid the most, continue to reproduce beyond their means. What a bizarre outcome to selfless acts of charity !

10:21 am, Thursday, November 12, 2009:
Stimulus money, io Ontario as well as in Florida, is supposed to "replace" in part the missing money that "usually" customers spend (especially during the Christmas season). Usually statistics are (way?) behind reality, and therefore stimulus money may (often? usually?) go to the wrong targets at the wrong time.
..... Beware of stimulus money reaching targets at the WRONG time. Inflation may get started and/or increased that way.
..... In theory there should always be a near-balance between available jobs and fully qualified workers to fill these jobs. Also, in theory, there should NEVER be any childbirths in famine areas, nor, perhaps, in areas that have chronically high unemployment.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aries

Christmas Eve finds you happy and eager to get the most out of the day. You're in a rather sentimental mood, so if you've got time you'll relish the chance to watch a favourite film, especially if it means you've got to get out the hankies. A friend's kindness or sensitivity will delight you - and make you wonder how you can reciprocate.
