The island does not need Tuvaluan people to change the dianamics and the finacial problems the island has. They need to be encouraging their own people back to the island, it is a real worry that more than 20 thousand niueans reside in New Zealand without looking at the promblems of thier island caused by corrupted leaders who are just after for more hand outs.

Are you sure? I thought Tuvalu was sinking and they need a new home, and Niue was the most appropriate island. Can you give me any links?

Well, what is the point at bringing back the Niueans to Niue if the income for each person here has cut off by 10 percent. Education sucks, everything sucks. The thing is, the government should focus on one thing before another. But they need to open their eyes and ear to see and hear what the people really needs.

Hi Joanne
Yeah, where are all those Niueans? I accidently got here through an Iowa, US newspaper!

I'm a 1/4 Niue, but I is already married, so sorry!

My daddy came from Niue back in the 40's when he was 16 years old.

The trouble is, Tuvalu is sinking due to global warming and you should consider yourselves lucky as Niue is the only country who is willing to help. Australia and New Zealand do not want to have anything to do with it. Imagine if Niue did not offer to take in these Tuvaluans, what would their life be like when the sea is slowly flooding the place?
Get real Tuvaluan and face the facts. Perhaps you're living comfortably somewhere overseas while your people are struggling back in Tuvalu.

im sorry but think about it, no one lives in niue...duhh.......so making the population larger will help the economy and look at the tuvaluans today, they know how to speak niuean better then NZ niueans, as for the indians and phillopino's. so this is pretty rich coming from someone who comes from NZ

NZ Indians don't know sh!t about their language. It also depends on whether they are from India, or if they are Fiji Indians.

All thanks to Frank when he was PM of Niue. It was he who first accepted the intake of Tuvaluans into Niue. I hope it continues under Tokes leadership.
