have been reading about bunnings way of resolving bullying in the workplace at the henderson branch. A timber manager the bully was caught out. Bunnings way to handle this was to get more managers into the bullying game. The hardware manager and others tried to incite the victim but he taped them. Very dishonest company they got caught out!!!

Don't support Bunnings. They are everywere in Australia, have completely knocked Mitre 10 out of the competition were most have closed down. Bunnings then jack up prices. Stick with the little guys as the same will happen over NZ.

Yes Master Home Improvements? There are opening everywere here now, taking on Bunnings. I still try use the smaller hardware's (if I can) Bunnings is owned by Coles Myer group & Masters, Woolworths. Those guys have too much money now & don't need all the market.

I thought bunnings was owned by West Farmers group. They are money hungry you got that right they have been busy building more stores over here in nz. They have built stores that are only a few kilometers away from other bunnings store. And on top of that they have even built one right opossite a mitre 10 mega store. I do shop at smaller timber and hardware stores too. But many of my builder mates that don't have accounts with bunnings buy those cheap tools burn the motors out then take them back under warranty. They tell me they have a good thing going with that. They also play the game of price match between bunnings and mitre 10. They have accounts with placemakers, carters and others. The building industry is not doing so well over here I have a mate that works for the council and he said building consents are down way down. I guess it would be better in aussie though eh! I have watched alot of small timber and hardware stores fold up and close trying to compete against these companys here. I prefer the small ones as they give you good customer service and promptly load your trailer for you. In my opinion big is not always better.

Read about this situation elsewhere on the net amazing. The victim did the right thing in taping the dishonest managers involved. Dishonesty + Dishonesty = Bunnings.

I cannot believe that managers would behave like this! Unbelieviable and unreal but I guess the tapes proved their dishonesty.

Yes they move into a medium size town and squash out all the smaller locally-owned hardware/appliance shops, then funnel all profits to their head office.
And we consumers let it happen!
