'Islamic culture' is a contradiction in terms. Islam is an 'anti-culture'- it wiped out the indigenous high cultures of West Asia and North Africa (i.e. the Mesopotamian, the Egyptian, the Persian) as well as the native pagan culture of the Arabs. It also tried to wipe out Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and other cultures wherever it spread - with varying degrees of success.

What currently goes by the name of 'Islamic culture' is a mishmash of elements stolen from earlier cultures that the Muslim hordes overran,(the Arabic language, Persian literature, Byzantine architecture, etc...) combined with the theology and the mythology of the Hebrews.

No doubt, Western technology will be added to the mix once the Muslims finish overrunning Europe and North America.

Anyway, Mr. Wilders did not slander Islam. He simply took the comments that various extremist preachers made - and linked them back to the Koranic verses that they relate to. We were having this very discussion today. There are Muslim people everywhere, right? But these Muslims who do all these wacko things in the name of Allah, don't represent the majority of Muslims in the world. The extremist Muslims seem to be from the middle-east (pakistan, saudi-arabia, iraq). Yeah, those from the middle-east and the ones from some arabic north-african countries are the extremist ones that are usually in the al-queeda. Those are the ones that, freak me out. Well the ones from, other countries, that don't really have a huge population that practice Islam, aren't the extremist ones. For example in South Africa, we have a number of Muslim people who are mainly concentrated in Cape Town. These people are ABSOLUTELY NOT the people that are portrayed in the news as Muslims. Hell no, these people are absolutely smart, polite and would never think of bombing a building. They are the ones the have the nice cars, houses and jobs. The way Muslims are being portrayed as terrorists, absolutely does not apply to the Muslims I talk to everyday. I have met a middle-eastern man, who threatened to blow up my house, so I think that there are a few issues in the middle-east. But Muslims are generally good people, so to say that Islam is pure evil is not correct. Islam should not be judged for a person's actions

Well your beliefs can tell you to kill and torture people, but I highly doubt that the Koran tells Muslims to bomb buildings and behead people. Those people killing other people for their 'beliefs' are just murderers looking for an excuse to kill and of course, it's Islam. The people in the KKK say they are 'pure Christians.' In the bible it says love man like you love yourself, so I highly doubt the KKK are like that and I highly doubt the average Christian has similar views to that of the KKK.

8: 14. That is because they have opposed ALLAH and HIS Messenger. And whoso opposes ALLAH and HIS Messenger, Then ALLAH is surely Severe in retribution."

The only reward of those, who wage war against ALLAH and HIS Messenger and strive to create disorder in the land, is that they be slain or crucified or their hands and feet be cut off on account of their enmity, or they be expelled from the land. Note in the latter verse the "strive to create disorder". Many muslims consider anyone who says anything bad about islam to "strive to create disorder".

The KKK actually is a supremacist group, and makes that its first and foremost aim. They thus murder in the name of white supremacy. This differs from muslim terrorists, who murder in the name of islam. See a difference?

Also note one other thing: the support for the ideas of the KKK is extremely small. The general ideas of muslim terrorists is NOT small, and a considerable proportion of muslims condone the violence. It should tell you something that a poll amongst muslims living in the UK indicated that 20% indicated they had sympathy for the feelings and motives behind the 7/7 attacks. You wouldn't get anywhere near when dealing with the KKK actions!
