Russia wins Mongolian uranium mining concessions

Full story: www.upi.com

While the Western press has largely fixated on the intense international struggle over the Caspian's hydrocarbon riches, farther east in Mongolia another rivalry is brewing between Russia and competitors for another valuable energy source -- uranium. Moscow has established a commanding lead to develop the country's energy reserves, and its dominance seems likely only to grow with time. As for foreign mining concerns that feel unfairly squeezed out in the race to dominate Mongolia's uranium deposits, they might remember that heavily subsidized shipments of wheat and oil and a $300 million loan coupled with debt forgiveness are more easily understood in Central Asia than purely capitalist Western contracts promising future riches, as Mongolians cannot eat or heat their homes with Wall Street derivatives, however many dollar signs litter the future "bottom line."

Former French president Jacques Chirac was a sumo fan and came to Mongolia to meet Davaadorj the Mongolian born Japanese Sumo champ.Enkhbayar suggested that Areva could mine Mongolias Uranium and went to Paris bignoting himself only to be rebuked by the MPRP and the Ikh Hural. Areva never had a chance with this deal. Enkhbayar has many enemies within the MPRP and the recent Presidential election was the perfect opportunity to get rid of him after the fraudulent general election. Bayar now has the real power and the former Russian Embassy employee has been named as one of the 31 corruptors after the MPRP stole $50 million as part of a $250 million repayment to Russian which was diverted thru Eastern Europe and divided up amongst the party.Russia exerts its influence thru controling oil and wheat and Putins 3 huge private companies are gaining more and more control interestingly just before Enkhbayar was ousted?Where are the Mongolian peoples hearts ? it is always with Russia, the empty promises of the US Millenium Challenge Corporation will come to nothing except lining the pockets of their consultants who have been allocated $30 million USD.William Infante the country representative of the Asia Foundation is typical of the two faced "Aid" organisations who are busy lining their own pockets via their private consulting companies

I bet Jacques Chirac smells bad like most of the french men. I find french people to be rude, arrogant and very unfriendly. Not all of them but many are.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
