I take it you're not a big fan of the idea of HAMAS snipers on Jerusalem rooftops and dirty bomb stuck into the Wailing wall, that this "peace" "process" will inevitably lead to.
You could say the same when 1,300 people are killed (including women children and elderly) on one side and then what 8 are lost on the other. Wonder what this will lead to.

I don't see myself as a left=wing, I'm a moderate, that's the only political affiliation I can entitle myself with.
To be a left-wing Liberal I need to support the notion of Socialism and welfare economic policies.
I am a capitalist, an eager and stout defender of Jewish interests and I certainly have no special liking to the culture nor the behavioral tendencies of our Arab neighbors (even though I understand the importance of coexistence).
So no left-wing liberals here.
I am a realist who may hold some left-wing opinions if I believe they better serve the Israeli cause, such as Palestinian independence and clear borders, but striving for such goals is not for the sake of the Palestinians, as much as it is for the sake of Israel and our demographic future as a Jewish majority.
You do know your country recieves billions in support from us, the US taxpayer, right?

So what is your term for that?

Do you know what would happen to your country if we did not support you?

Agreed, for once.
The notion that this was a ship full of small rockets bound for Hezbollah via Syria, strains all plausible credulity.
I find it much more likely that these were North Korean nuclear warheads. And that, NaNa, my green-eyed desperate housefrau, IS TANTAMOUNT TO DECLARATION OF WAR BY IRAN ON THE ENTIRE WEST AND ON ISRAEL ESPECISIALLY.
Iran, we're a-comin'
Who is we? Dont be thinking you mean the US. Dont lump us in with others.

If you want to fight iran move to some other country and become a citizen there.

We have problems of our own.

I hope this will lead to Palestinians recognizing they are being used by a bunch of thugs...
that their lives are worth more than the egos of a handful of maniacs....their children deserve
to live a full life and not seek death...that like every other people of history they have the choice
between bloodshed or peace. Do not blame Israel for successfully defending itself. Blame
Hamas for waging war instead of pursing diplomacy with Fatah and the world. No nation on
earth would choose to lose...only terrorists use this kind of cynical calculation.

She was right the first time. Any real american knows the threat to the USA and Israel. If you don't like the response, move yourself to IRAN if you love them so much. Just get in a foxhole while you're there.

Maybe all that money might be better spent somewhere else.

I'd like to ask you a short personal question:

1) Do you see yourself as a left win or moderate?
I'm not a left wing liberal, even if some right wing hawks claim everyone willing to grant the Palestinian independence is.

Moderate, realist... pick you title, but its not left wing liberal.
Isabella wrote:
2) Do you support the notion of Socialism?
I support it only barely. People who fell into misfortune such as the blameless poor, the handicap, the old and the ill must be supported by the government in an act of solidarity.
I believe in equal opportunities, not in equal wealth. Everyone should get all the assistant they need from the state to fulfill their potential, but the rest is up to them. Once armed with teh tools, rich or poor is the consequences of your own making.
Isabella wrote:
3) Are you Jewish?
Yes, perhaps not in the sense you might view the definition of traditional Jewish. I don't believe in god but I have a Jewish mother (and father), am feeling part of the Jewish people, am very close to its major traditions and am living here in Israel.

Isabella wrote:
and what's your view of Capitalism
It has its drawbacks, like everything, and must be balanced with at least some socialism to help the helpless. But it certainly is a better option then communism, unjust welfare policies and all out socialism.
Isabella wrote:
Arabs, Muslims
I don't believe in generalizing whole peoples, I do believe in criticizing societies and cultures.
Since Arabs and Muslims are our neighbors in the middle east, we have no choice but to strive for coexistence.
If your question is if I like Arabs and Muslims... well as individuals they may be good persons, however as a society, as a culture, they are currently the scourge of this era.

Isabella wrote:
borders, independence, dependence
The Palestinians need independence, and we need them to have it. This being said out of pure self interests for the sake of this region and Israel's demographic Jewish majority.

As for borders, I have my vision, but who cares? borders are something best left for the negotiators, I'll accept anything the two sides can agree on as I trust my government to drive a hard bargain no matter what.
Isabella wrote:
Jewish identity as a state and miscellaneous policy-related issues?
To understand Jewish right for a state, you must first understand the Jewish people are a nationality which happens to have a unique religion rather then a religion which views its members as part of a people.

Palestinians=Jews=Germans=Amer icans=Brazilians=French, etc...

Jews are a nationality therefore they need a state, this state can only be in the land of Israel, the Jewish ancestral land from which the Jewish sense of identity sprang from.

The United Nations separation plan voted on in 1947 granted the Jews a national home in the land of Israel, it also stated borders for this national home - however the question of borders became void and meaningless when a united front of all its neighboring Arab states invaded in amass. From that moment onward, the question of borders is left to negotiations rather then the U.N. Arabs or their supporters have little right to refer to the separation plan in light of their brutal disregard of it in Israel's harsh war of independence.

Puerto Rican in an Italian nursing home
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
A Puerto Rican family was considering
putting their grandfather (Abuelito) in a nursing home. All
the 20 Hispanic facilities were completely full so they had to put him in
an Italian home.
After a few weeks in the Italian facility, they came to
visit Grandpa.
'How do you like it here?' asks the grandson.
'It's wonderful! Everyone
here is so courteous and respectful, says grandpa.
'We're so happy for you.
We were worried that this was the wrong place for you. You
know, since you are a little different from everyone.'
'Oh, no! Let me tell you about how
wonderfully they treat the residents. Abuelito says with a
big smile.
'There's a musician here -- he's 85 years old.
He hasn't played the violin in 20 years and everyone still calls him
'Maestro'!'
'There is a judge in here -- he's 95 years old. He hasn't been on the
bench in 30 years and
everyone still calls him 'Your Honor'!'
'There's a dentist here -- 90
years old. He hasn't fixed a tooth for 25 years and
everyone still calls him Doctor?!'
'And me -- I haven't had sex for 35 years and they
still call me
"The Fucking Puerto Rican."
We have a sizable Hispanic work force. Besides wanting to know where you live, I had to make a copy for everybody. They loved it.

Israel's fault...Israel's fault...

>Hanna Nasser, chairman of the Palestinian election commission, blamed the rival Hamas militant group for holding up the vote. He said Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, had refused to cooperate with election workers, making it impossible to hold the Jan. 24 election.

"We planned to go to Gaza to figure out how we can conduct elections there," Nasser said. "In the meantime, we received an answer from Hamas that we are not welcome in Gaza. It is clear now that we cannot hold an election in Gaza."<

Actually their "admissions" were obtained under duress, and seeing as they were all reportedly close blood relations of Uzi, are probably inadmissible on grounds of particualy virulent strain of mongolian idiocy.

No, last time I checked this is America and not some hell-hole like Monaco or the Hamptons; the Patriot Act protects all the patriots of freedom, which includes our friend ally Israel.

Children to use as blow-up martyrdom thingies? Cheap. Shedding infideli blood? Cheaper. Tuesdays with Muhammad in Paradise? Pricessless.
