The USA has ZERO reason to attack Iran. ZIP, ZERO, NADA !! Though we have been poking our finger in Iran's eyes by placing SANCTIONS against Iran. History does give us EXPERIENCE as to what can go WRONG when we place sanctions on a country. We placed an oil embargo on Japan during WWII. The rest ihistory (remember Pearl Harbor?) And Israel wants us to do what??? To launch an attack on Iran? They are f'n crazy!!!

The world would be beautiful, people can find so many noble and normal goals and not only wars, attacks, intrigues, crimes etc. Only peace.

Launching nukes,(making them a pariah) would enflame the entire region including the Saudi's who hate Iran. And nukes are supposedly the only way to destroy the nuclear facilities in Iran. Taking out the Islamist nutcase leaders would stop the nuclear threat but it would also solidify the muslim countries hatred of Isreal thereby probably starting a conventional war. And that is a completely different scenario.

Several simultanious strikes at different/seperate targets and no guarentee of success? Don't know 'bout that. Unless Israel considers getting 50-80% of the leaders a success. IF successful(whatever THAT could mean)it could be disruptive enough for the cooler heads in Iran to assume power OR it could unite the country as a whole against an invader. So many ifs to consider.

There is good reason the unofficial motto of Israel is "Never Again".... They will do what they think they have to do that is in THEIR best interests. The rest of the world be damned. Israel has gone from a purchaser of "any arms available" to for the most part manufacuring their own. The DO still buy some of the more high-tech stuff like combat aircraft and advanced avionics weaponry. But they have the science/ability to upscale/improve on it. Iran has russia's last generation of fighter planes. No match. Iran's big leverage point is their quasi-military Quds Guards division. Their equivelent of a S/F force. A coastal Navy and a weak Air Force. Thats it.

True enough, Israel will follow the course that they believe will gets the job done with the least cost to Israel ... if they can find a way to do it short of military action they will follow that way (they have done so in the past). We can only speculate what they will do.
