Syrian rebels accused of executions, other abuses

And before commenting people read the article. It is made to look like the Rebels are killing indescriminately but they are not. However, having said that, they are guilty of crimes when they kill prisoners even though these prisoners are guilty of war crimes themselves they cannot kill them and will be held accountable one day. On the government side these individuals did receive clear measages to maime, kill, or cause harm to all people in their path to create confusion and intimidation.

The sad reality is this is an ugly war and Syrians are the biggest losers in it, some of them are fighting for justice but the most were used for different agendas and manipulated by the ideology of mentally retarded in the Gulf and devious jihadist.

These rebels are nothing but thugs! I am so disappointed how world media especially the western media portray them as hero's or so called freedom fighters, just as the afghan's were useful to the west against the russians - these pathetic uneducated thugs are useful today in syria but when the west does not need them, they will leave them to rot.
And now the syrian army are regarded as loyalists to Assad, its a joke how the world sits back and watches these extremists and believe me they are extremists kill in cold blood and do no one says nothing; but let a member of the army attack these criminals and he is regarded as a criminal.
If this was happening in any western city these criminals would be regarded as terrorist and they would be dealt with in a similar manner...but not in syria they are freedom fighters.

I am sickened by the sight of these rebels, they are nothing but a disease spreading like a plague, the sooner the syrian army stamps on them the better.

Same things happened in Libya. What next is that rebels will simply get more (and bigger) guns and bullets. At later time, rebels may even get tanks and bombers to do the killings more effectively.

. Well said, how come these freedom and democracy loving peaceful ( with arms) thugs are not pouring into sudia Arabia who has one of the worst records of freedoms and democracy. They are a disease like cancer cells. We kill cancer cells for the body to survive.

man everyone knows that the fsa doesnt have anything to do with it. There are more rebel groups than the fsa in syria. Its sad that the children have to suffer.

If the regime was so honorable in the first place they would have sat down with the protestors 16 months ago but instead the put snipers on buildings to break up these ungrateful people that would have the guts to go against Assads idea of how they should live. Syria has nothing to do with Afghanistan so people stop deflecting this situation, each one is different. The US and Israel are not in this war with jets and tanks and helicopter, I believe that is Assad shooting against anything that moves. Yes the US and Saudi have agreed to give funds to the rebels as non military support and Qatar has agreed with weapons. Do you really think the rebels should just set down their weapons so that Assad can shoot all of them one at a time, be real you idiot, this is no longer a chance to have dialogue, Assad has set the pace and started the civil war and to expect the Rebels to quit you would have to be a looser to think that.

These rebels now have military sites, airport sites, police stations and jails, they ARE an army. With each passing day they are more and more equipped to wipe out the Alawites and Assad regime and family and that day is coming close. The rumours have started that Assad has already left the country with his family, he is such a coward, I believe it. The armed rebels in Syria are collection of thugs, criminals, murderers, rapists, and psycopaths. If they take over the country it'll be rein of terror. Syrians will be looking for shelters. Nato and Arab league want that type of chaos in Syria.

A 'rational decision' would have been to at least feign a commitment to implement Annan's plan.

I couldn't help noticing in your last few comment an element of secterianism used in your defence of your believes,this is how you can easily loose the argument.
History has shown that Alawites were in the army defending Syria in its previous wars with Israel while the Sunnis were the rich merchants who benefited from their connection with few in the government,and left the dirty politics for the other to run it to their benefits.
Both were guilty for dragging Syria to destruction because all what they care about is their own interest and both lacks any sense of nationalism.

The UN general assembly has overwhelmingly denounced Syria's crackdown and demanded the securing of its chemical and biological weapons.
Voting was 133 in favour, with 12 against and 31 abstentions.
