Most fair minded Brits think Mugabe was right to fightfor his country back in the day, but he lost his way and his craving for power made him a tyrant to his own people. Stealing from his own country as you have verified means that he was stealing food from the mouths of the hungry. Taking away hope when there should have been plenty. Zimbabwe needs a new honest leadership that can take the people into the prosperity they deserve. Do you agree?

I have never hidden behind 'propoganda' or been afraid to answer any question. This thread developed because of continual lies and racism from people who were afraid that their heroes (mugabe and Ahmadinejad) might be criticised and implicated in wrong doings. They tried to paint these tyrants as wonderful leaders caring for their people which is far from the truth. To them all criticisms are propoganda when of course it was they who were and still are the propoganda experts. I originally came to start this thread because of my feelings about Ahmadinejad who has been a pawn in the oppression and violence aimed at Iranian citizens. I have family interests there. Racist fools like orieduka and crazy jim got involved spewing their racism and colour prejudice as if mugabe was innocent. You have been graceful enough to give some of the truth. This thread is about Mugabe and Ahmadinejad hence the comments about them. Why talk about cats when the thread is about dogs? However you have brought up something else. I believe that Britains involvement in Africa was shameful. It is clear that Britain should have stayed out of Africa and did untold damage. And yes innocent lives were lost. I have always felt that was the case but you are the first to mention it without hurling racist insults and you deserve a response. Africans today deserve so much better than they have been given. You would think that once the europeans had been driven out of Zimbabwe that Mugabe would have done everything in his power to make life good for his people but he seriously failed in that aim, putting his own lust for power and wealth before everything else. It is easy to see why he has been elevated to hero status in the minds of many Africans but the damage he has done to his country and the lives that have been blighted since he took control has been appalling.

The chinese woke up to where they could easily get the resources they need at a cheap labour cost.
