Peruvians are seriously the dumbest people in the world! i have lived here for few years, all my friends from other countries can not stand peruvians, they are so retarded and we feel like they are not even human, there is no way to carry a conversation with them. When you ask them something, they give you completely different answers...it goes on and on, i hate this place but i have no choice...been around world, but this country is definitely messed up big time!!!

Nothing works. I live in a luxury apartment building where these incompetent morons have not been able to fix the pool on the roof, a beautiful sky pool, for 2 FUCKING YEARS. It's a pool, not the Space Shuttle for Christ's sake. They have no concept of treating tourists well in order to maintain the industry. If you come here and something is advertised, never ever expect it to work, or even be there. "Oh, the sauna? that's broken." "Oh, you actually wanted to USE the parking space advertised for your apartment, well, sorry, we've rented it out for the year." Half the time you walk up to the counter at a hotel and they treat you like you barged into their house unanounced.
They've been free of spanish rule since the 1800's, they have no excuse. They are simply dullwitted, corrupt, selfish. I laugh out loud now when any of them call Americans stupid. What the fuck has Peru acheieved besides Machu Pichu and Ceviche? Even the only Peruvian to win the Nobel prize was smart enough to leave here and become a citizen of Spain!
One last pet peeve, barely any traffic lights or stop signs anywhere, fucking idiots. 100% agree with you! hopeless people!!! or should i say animals...

I hate to admit it but, yes, Peruvians are among the most envious, ignorant, simple-minded, prejudiced people I have ever met...and I am Peruvian! On top of that, they like to think they are total know-it-alls and, you know what? They know absolutely nothing about anything. The lack of intelligence of my fellow Peruvians (I was born in Peru, raised in the US) is really mind blowing. It has taken me some time to come to terms with this realization, but I sincerely think that the majority of Peruvians has a serious problem with with self awareness, the issue being the lack thereof.
I have read several news publications and comments from other countries, both Latin American and European. Sadly, the comments I read from Peruvian publications are almost always full of hatred, vitriol and resentment towards others, for example, people living in the capital Lima. This, as you can expect, has been a wake up call for me as to the twisted mentalities of my fellow countrymen. As a society, I think that Peruvians have a whole lot of self-analysis and growing up to do, take a few lessons of civility from people from other nations and try to apply it to themselves. Until this is done, I'm afraid that Peru will forever remain a third-world nation.
@Peru rules bitches: Okay, you need to learn to write the English language properly before you go whining about another country's educational system.

I am glad i aint the only one who thinks this...you hardly meet any nice peruvians, most of them always think they are above everyone, they assume that everyone else is stupid and that they are upper class an that any other race is poor and below them, also most of them are arogant and racist and to filled with pride. i just can't stand there mentality and how they act. Peruvians are the only race i meet were most of them behave this way..i know there are some people like that in every race, but seriously peruvians are the worst.

Alright, I have never been to Peru. I have been as far South as Tampico. But that's it.
So, for my two cents worth, I would like to say you can never make such a blanket statement about a country. There may be many people in Peru who are stupid. But not all. There are dumb people in every country on this planet.
So let's just not stereotype an entire country please.

Yes you will find many "primitive" people because they did not have the money and education you all had. Peru is (except the capital Lima) a poor country. But you will also see very humble and kind people. THEY ARE NOT STUPID, YOU ARE STUPID IF YOU THINK THAT. There had been many chess champions from the Sierra, which is the "poorest" part of Peru. Peru is divided in 3; Coast ("Whiter" people if you may and modern stuff), Sierra (WHERE THE FAMOUS LLAMAS LIVE)And Selva (The Jungle).
