In Mexico they do know Spanish.

The ones living in the USA use a lot of strange words -- not only fuliar -- they'll say "troca" instead of camion, and "brecas" instead of frenos. Parquiar instead of estacionar. They hate Americans but are really wanna-be gringos. Dollars over patria.

There's one verb that especially fits the pochos. That is the verb "presumir". They crave money and all it can buy -- they sold out and that's why so many of these (notice they're all posting from the USA) pretend to care about Mexico when really all they care about is what American money can buy them.

In Mexico they are referred to as "ni de aqui, ni de alla" -- they belong to neither country. They speak neither English nor Spanish. They have no real patriotism -- they love the USA for it's money nothing more but love that money more than they love Mexico.

I wish we could send these Mexicans to Peru for some kind of education. We provide them very very costly "bilingual" education so they can keep their own language -- we even import teachers for them from Mexico. And they are destroying the Spanish language.

I think the USA owes the Spanish-speaking world an apology. They think they have been learning Spanish, they're learning almost nothing.

When someone posts from Mexico -- not too often in these forums, they tend to use good Spanish. You can almost always spot the Mexicans posting from the USA -- even without checking their ISP.
