MAURITIUS: Asian textile workers treated as slaves

In India,they would get Rs.1000 if they are lucky.in Mauritius,they get Rs.5000 or more[overtime]In india they work 22 hrs!They seem happy here,where I live,and no starving children around,and not many tents or cardboard houses here,though it exists also.They pay up to Rs.100,000 to agents to come here!

There should be an international inquiry concerning these agents,as due to their heavy fees,the employees have to repay back from their wages,otherwise a normal wage is about Rs.5000-10,000,which is a fortune to most Indians and Chinese!
Wiser ones,having noticed that there is a demand for fresh meat-prostitution- happily sell their bodies and get Rs.5000 in a night!
BTW,Mauritian security guards also work 12 hrs a day-sometimes 7 days a week!For Rs5000!
Workers of hotels- up to $1000/night also get miserable pay,long hours.....
Labor unions non-existant or very weak!
The lucky ones:politicians!
Rs.60,000/month plus free car/air fares/extra jobs/house/unlimited phone calls/ and plenty baksish!

ask the indians to carve out a seperate state which will take up one third of the land mass and 65% of the coast line of mauritius
mauritians will not be allowed to live in this area but the indians will be able to live in the rest of mauritius
you can ask the norwegian government to facilitate this solution

Roger de Lamerde!I seriously believe that some of the comments that you are putting forward are of a racist nature. Those Indians as you say just want a better standard of living. And one of the reasons why Indians are being brought to Mauritius for work purposes is because your fellow Mauritians don't want to work as hard as Indians do or they want to earn millions for some shitty job!And you also mentionned about Indians taking away "our women"...lame argument my friend...Aren't you man enough to keep your lady?? Plus, sorry to offend you but Indians are not as stupid as you might think...there are some really smart and well-qualified ones, so maybe they deserved those top positions in the workforce after all. Rodrigues, comores, reunion, Seychelles all have a minority of indian but Mauritius is the preferred and top ranked in african all performance list.

Its not being rejected by indians but can you cope with them. Can't you stop putting satelitte dish, latest hi-fi in lakaz tole(home build with iron sheets) while sending children to beg. All the indian leaders put education first. THats y Mauritius without any natural resource 2day is respectded.

In the company i work thousand of chinese and indian are employed.

Every incident is reported as harsh treatment to indian or chino.

Thats not the case. Chino and INdo now knows the media is them so to take advantage they report it as harsh treatment.

In my company it was reported a director who is 66yrs beat 4 indians breaking one's leg. If you see those indian then you will realise how hard it will be to fight with them alone and come without any broken bone.

THe media quickly took over and you knw next/

I admit some places expatriate are ill treated but it's not easy anymore. The ministry of labour have put severe clause in law for those who illtreat expat..
