Refusal to accept a Jewish state

If the USA had taken in all the displaced Jewishsurvivors of the Holocaust, we'd have this group that has done so much to create a modern in many ways nation with a thriving economy living here. And they'd be a blessing to our country is so many ways - their culture of education for instance.

Unfortunately the world tried to get the Jews of Europe off its hands, tossing them into the nation that was theirs thousands of years ago. Certainly I understand that the Palestinians who lived there before, but didn't have a country because Britain rule Palestine, are unhappy about what happened. The real crime, though, is that every time the Palestinians have had an opportunity for peace and success and a chance to create a thriving economy, they blew it. Yes, Israeli right wingers are guilty also. No easy solution here, except a couple of very strong leaders on both sides who create a Palestinian state through some compromise, and create an economic common market between the two nations. Once things settle a little, and the Palestinians lives begin to improve measurable, they'll become more moderate, and the BS Orthodox freaks of Israel who think the bible says the whole place is their place will be marginalized. And then both sides - the moderate Palestinians, and the moderate Israelis will realize they have so much in common, and the problems will be on BOTH sides to do whatever it takes - dungeons if necessary - to keep their extremists under control.

Please give me a name of a REAL Moderate on the Palestinian side. Not Abbas whos political faction is responsible for more Israel deaths then Hamas and all the others put together. He denies the Holocaust and incites hatred against Isarel daily in Arabic while in English he speaks mostly of negotiations and Israel having to give something else up to help him stay in power.

How did the Arabs get into Palestine, it was Jewish and then Christian until the Arab conquest. How many of the Palestinians in fact moved into a largely uninhabited land in the early 20th century because it had been invigorated by Jewish enterprise? Surely thay are there by right of conquest and immigration, indeed just like the Jews ,who can also argue historic right. The matter can only be decided by looking at who lives there now. It is a very small problem when considered against the forcible resettlement of millions of people from beyond the Oder-Neissse line in Eastern Europe and the problems of Serbia, Kosovo, and Bosnia now.Indeed had the Arabs, unlike the Jews, freely accepted the UN partition plan for Palestine just after WWI then there would have been two states, no war, no perpetual refugees, indeed no problem.

Would all the Muslim countries get together to force Pakistan to give Sindi and Bengali Hindus back what was stolen from them?

Israel is the land of all Jews, not just European ones. That's why the Jewish state was re-created where it was, rather than being carved out of Germany. The majority of Israel's Jewry are of Asian or African origin, and one out of four Jewish marriages crosses the line between European Jews and Third World ones.

That land is to Jews what Benares is to Hindus.
