I have submited a job application for a position on Marshall Islands. I was wondering what the living conditions were like? And how well jobs seem to pay compared to the U.S. and anything you could think of to help me out. Thanks.

Living in the marshalls is fair. not like the US of course. just an flat island. its paradise. people are friendly. you have internet and what not but internet in marshalls is not that fast. it's still a developing island. as for job pays they don't have that much but if you have a degree you get paid well. |

I lived on Kwajalein for 18 years and went to Ebeye many times. Ebeye is where most of the Marshallese live in that atoll. Majuro is somewhat better but prices are high and the standard of living is nothing like the States. The weather is warm (high 80's) and very humid (80-90%). They get about 100 inches of rain a year. It is beautiful. There are many bugs and things are not kept up or kept clean. The people do love and appreciate Americans who treat them with care and respect. I have not direct experience but from what I have heard from others pay is not up to US standards. |
