Malaysian court declares jailing of cartoonist legal

Malaysia is suppressing freedom of speech among its citizens. To express yourself through a mere drawing of officials faces and get jailed is not good for Malaysia.

The Malaysian government must have been influenced by communist China to implement communist ideas and instill fear among its citizens.

If he delivers something through his artwoks (cartoon etc) that offend one race and religion's sensetivity that would be able resulting tension among race and religion, is that just fine?..For the name of democracy?

In Europe and America for sure, there is no such thing for democracy when u want to say something critize, let alone to insult and condemn The JEWS>JEWISH>The country of Israel!

A country uses race or religion's sensitivity just like that to stamp out dissent amongst their population. Maybe the government doesn't know how to deal with it. To dub someone as infidel is uncalled for and is not a good sign of a healthy conversation.

I know Zunar much better than u.I used to admire him during his pretty time in Gila-Gila (The Malaysian most popular cartoon magazine during 80s till early 90s).But after that, no more!

Bcoz u can fight for freedom since u have a right to do that, same as me too.But one thing for sure, I wont draw or illustrate any face of my political opponents with altering and symbolising them with animal face and feature.He used to illustrated our ex-Prime Minister's nose, Dr' Mahathir Mohammad same like a swine/pig nose...
If someone does like that to ur parents, what would u say and react?..
Respect his/her right of expression?..

We're talking about Malaysia. Israel, Europe, and America have issues of their own.

Let's talk about why Zunar was jailed, but then the Malaysian court in peninsular Malaysia returned his books? It's like when you throw up, you still want to eat half of it. It doesn't make sense at all. Zunar was jailed because of his books and artworks.
He should be jailed and confiscate his books and artworks as well.

A country put its interest of race and religion at the first place beyond others, that is the most responsible country through its government.Respecting democracy of someone/somebody is just nothing to compare with it.

Drawings of myself with a horn or a body of a horse won't affect me at all. The cartoonist can even put my name under it, and I just laugh and be proud. You know why? My name will be all over and I'll become popular.

And those who know me, would they believe that I became a horse or a horn grew out of my forehead. Of course they don't believe in drawings but instead they will call me and ask me if I evolved to something like that.

Like talking and jeering to someone who steals, but in ur familiy member also there is thief.
He desreved to be jailed for his offence.But letter when he been freed and his books returned, it was our court and judiciary mistake.It happens around the world.

That is what u only think and feel upon it.It no offence, no harm but yet entertaing.But do others think and feel like that to?..
Different people>ethnic/race/national ity, means different cultures.Go learn other people custom and cultures bcoz u expected otther people have to follow u..!
