I've met a few people who have traveled to Africa. One of them is my Doctor (of 27 years). He recently traveled to Kenya. Pictures all about the little doctor cubicles. What I have witnessed is 'changed' people.
I've never been to Africa. I really don't plan on it anyway. We REALLY are a spoiled people aren't we??? Imagine our lives without electricity. No Internet, TV, Cable, running Water, a Fridge to keep our food cold and healthy, a stove to cook it, hot water to take a bath, lights to read by,...every day is a challenge to survive. We really DON'T face that in the U.S. do we??
(I'm of the same group living from paycheck to paycheck so don't give me that crap)
Here is a person, who saw a very basic need-which turns out to be a luxury for those in that area.
I don't care if you Like Madonna or not-SHE IS DOING A GOOD THING!

She just offered electricity....what a cheapstake.

She notifies the press...hey, I'm going to Africa. Send the photogs and snap me doing charity work.

Pathetic little woman who needs acknowledge EVERY step of the way. No wonder she can't maintain relationships.

She drags her young children through the camera flashes instead of giving them the privacy they deserve.

She is so full of herself.

What a screwball.

If you cared, you're know the answer to that already. And I think we're talking about a complete different level of need.

Maybe she's looking to help the neediest, and she's not basing a kid's need on a kid's color.

If we all practiced our faith alot more than we do know, we wouldn't be making the same Godless comments.

European Imperialists tried all these things, only to see the electrical lines and poles submerged in the mud, after the seasonal rains. But it didn't surprise the native Africans. And the task has to be a national government effort in order for success. But thank you Moddona for such a kind thought. The cost would amount to billions of dollars, and a much more unified continental effort.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Capricorn

The detail-oriented Moon in Virgo is extremely supportive and helpful, so it feels good to know that you can count on some support. You may know just where the help is coming from, but with communicative Mercury all over transformative Pluto in your sign, maybe you're being looked after by your very own guardian angel. Don't let this encourage you to take foolish risks or overstep the mark.
