Do you think English should be the medium of education in Malawi? Or Chichewa? Or the tribal vernaculars of each region?

Or, should children be taught in the tribal vernaculars during the youngest years, and transition into English as they get older?

Is English a threat to the existence of the native African languages?

Thanks for cluing me in.

Sorry, I think the forum swallowed up my questions. Here they are again:

Do you think English should be the medium of education in Malawi? Or Chichewa? Or the tribal vernaculars of each region?

Or, should children be taught in the tribal vernaculars during the youngest years, and transition into English as they get older?

Is English a threat to the existence of the native African languages?

Is having English and Chichewa as official languages good for Malawi?

Is this an important topic when it comes to Malawi?

The truth of the matter is , the world is a global village therefore teaching children in a vernacular is years going backwards. You dont want future economists involving interpreters every time they concldude international deals because they cant speak english.Look east and understand what iam talking about
