Many people have been asking themselves as to what might happen tomorrow should the motion of no confidence against the current Prime Minister succeed and Hon Metsing becomes a Prime Minister.
I must say from the begining of my analysis that chances are very remote that come thursday Metsing will be a new Prime Minister. If anything I see Metsing withdarwing his name for fear of consequences when they fail and a come back from LCD. But should that happen, this is how it might unfold.
The Metsing camp or 'Litimamollo' as popularly known will need to lean on Metsing for him to form a government. Which government will have to be a coalition government. When one looks at the kingmakers with expectations on the side of Metsing, one sees Mr. Mpho Malie, former trade minister and MP. Malie will expect to be moved from the shadow force into actual force by becoming a Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of either Finance or Foreign Affairs. But one also sees Lesao Lehohla expecting to retain his post purely because of his recent change of heart and for giving Metsing a shelter after he was fired. Lehohla and Malie do not expect less.
One sees Hon Sephiri Motanyane who some quarters were more comfortable with him been the Prime Minister than Metsing. Motanyane sees his chances as Metsing's deputy as very remote and therefore might agree to be the Speaker of Parliament deputised by either Maope of LPC or Ramathebane of BBDP.
Yet again, Mr. Thabane agrees to join the motion with clear terms and conditions of be coming a deputy of Metsing.
I also think his top 10 will be amongst these eight in order; Malie as deputy and minister finance, Motanyane as speaker, Lehohla as minister of Home Affairs, Malebo as Minister of Agric, Thabane as minister foregin affairs, Maope deputy speaker minister, Ramathebane deputy speaker, Maseribane as minister education, matla as minister trade, phooko as minister health, ntsinyi as minister tourism.
