CHANGE can take place…possible

CHANGE must take place…be real

CHANGE will take place…enjoy its fruits

What the now generation must understand is that, a meaningful CHANGE will require hard work, determination, courage and selflessness…it will not come overnight. In other words, the change that this topic is referring to…though real, will surely not be enjoyed by the now generation. Mr. Mandela had all four AND most people no doubt lack the last ingredient…Mr. Mandela is regarded worldwide as one of the greatest human beings alive…most blacks will accept that honour as long there is money to match. No financial gain…to hell with honour. As far as m concerned Mr. Mandela is the wealthiest African alive today…wealth is his case m referring to influence. Despite his positioning…regarded as inferior by those holding power, Mr. Mandela believed that change is ‘POSSIBLE’…he then worked hard and with a lot of determination and courage to make the change a ‘REALITY’. Today, there is change in South Africa and ‘most blacks’ are ‘ENJOYING THE FRUITS’…Today most young black South Africans (the now generation)are financially wealthy – a dream come true AND Mr. Mandale (the great one) financially deprived.

Brother KT…there is more

Hmm, i am liking this - and thanks to all the credible comments by forumists.

Before going further, i need to highlight my concern with this provocative, interesting and necessary thread - it sounds too wide and generalized. But all the same, maybe that's what it needs to be to break the silly tendency of becoming all so technical about even things that are very clear and straight forward!

Three words have recently come into my life vocubulary in respect to how we exist as people(s).
1. Awareness
2. Solidarity
3. Respect

1. The first one - i think it needs to be inculcated more considering the times we live in. People need to be aware of complex systems that take over/deter the basic factors of their existence. Then we would know vulnerability cannot be mistaken for ignorance -example: illiteracy. Then we would know incapacity will not be regarded as an advantage over the other - example: judicial processes.

2. Societies/Basotho need to realize that political, religious, racial, ethnic and any other categorization/classification of peoples are social conditioning from humanity. When all this labels are removed, what is left is a human being, a fundamental definition of people in the animal kingdom in which we belong.
So, people/human being need to realize and honestly confront the truths about things that are primary to the existence of their specie, and stand in SOLIDARITY for the realization of such FOR ALL before others begin to accumulate excesses to themselves at the expense of others. It may be a little difficult or time concerning to outline an example related to this aspect. I however think the issue of PASSPORTS in Lesotho is a good example. This did not affect citizens affiliated to opposition parties only but across the board. However, it was amazing to realize how people still manage to see the matter through political lenses nevertheless.

3. I think if one cannot respect oneself, they begin to care not about whether they earn respect either. We seem to at a stage where this little big quality has no place in our lives. Because respect is fundamental to values and morals of humanity, societies/Basotho seem to be lost in abyss.
There are vast factors compounding this dimension -culture, colonization and recently globalization to mention a few. However, even scientific studies have proven that humanity has global shared values, and respect is one such which acknowledges the presence and existence of another human being even in shared spaces. No matter the differences, if a gesture is meant genuinely, it is recieved as such.

KT, I have framed my response openly as well as closed to Basotho nation. I think furthermore, change also begins with us as individuals, leading to the practical day-to-day activities which may lead to overal change of societies.

...By the way, an example related to respect could of the same Passport debacle. How do you respect a person in power, who simply tells the whole nation about how they might have been/were stupid not to do their job? Yet the same action leads to the destruction of many lives.
The language that the former prime minister used in addressing the nation - another case in point. The expectation at that level is to maintain certain standards - isn't that so?

Ntate Sehako, ke a leboha and please tell me more.
Ntate lenna kealeboga, there is only one request that I`ll ask from you, drop me an email on msehako6@gmail.com and maybe i can share with you what i am working on with regard to your initial concern,I have since given up on government and politics Bro,one thing that I pride myself with government and politics is that ,God used them(politicians)to pave a way for us(people on the street)for us to use our BRAIN POWER,and now I know and am aware that I will never get anything from them(government) except that I am free to use my brain and do something for myself.

and maybe what i am working on will benefit you and others on your part of the world

I thank you in advance
Later....

I CAN TALK…CAN I ACT???? I just want make a lousy attempt to answer this question once and for good…

In this life I have realized one key thing…to succeed in anything you first have to know and understand your weaknesses and strengths. In auditing myself as I grew-up, I rated myself as ‘AVERAGE’ academically -- not someone who can be mistaken as intelligent…however, I fooled a lot of people to actually think that I am a genius. Realizing and accepting the fact that I am an average student, I’d to come up with a plan to make up for my weakness…improvise. So! The critical question was – what do I do to keep up with or better still - beat those wiz kids in class? I devised a method of ensuring that I can study effectively without necessarily turning myself into a bookworm…you’d hardly see me at the library. One of the simplest things I did was to convert my notes..edited and short into audio tapes. So! When I was tired of reading or perhaps taking a trip from the University to anywhere outside campus, I’d just put on my headphones and m studying. Here is the interesting part, during the frantic time when everyone else was busy preparing for the exams…that was my time to relax – go to the movies. I managed to study and run two businesses at the university…entertaining students with movies and occasionally sell ladies leather bags – ALL this is a true story.

To add! A lot of people who come to my place are dumbfounded that m not a physician and yet I fix my home electrical appliances and invent some s…t using nothing other than my High School Physics and Brain. Since I bought the car m using now…I have taken it to a mechanic with a technical problem at least twice OTHERWISE I use my brain and hands to service and fix it. How did I do it? The will to learn stuff…when I was studying, during the vacation time I worked part-time as an auto-mechanic…part of my tasks being to service and penal-beat cars. I plan on building an off-road motor/scrambler using my nothing BUT my brain and hands. Off duty I can be mad-scientist…

Why do I do all these stuff? saves me a lot of money and I sure enjoy every minute of it…So! My talk is never cheap…I only preach what I practice. Some idiots people will surely be offended by this text…do I care – why not go to the nearest tree and hang yourself.

Daily Horoscope for May 19

Pisces

Happily, the atmosphere starts to lighten today, leading to a much more comfortable time. You'll also find it easy to get on well with other people, which will come as a big relief. You may even be able to make amends for what happened yesterday and reach some sort of agreement at long last. If you're going to a social event you'll have a really good time.
